So we know Bowen and Thomas are back. Looks as if Clifton will be back as far as I know. Mason talking in todays SS, and sounds like he also will be back. Verge is a doubt,we shall see. So the question is will Shanes be back? Cannot see Ayres returning and I see at the moment he is not in any Championship Club. Interesting reading about Hopwood in the SS,he would be a good signing on his average for someone.

Championship Teams Comparison Time
blueherb777 replied to balderdash&piffle's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To me Sheffield stand out. Time will tell. -
For a minority sport,I think we are lucky to have a Magazine like the Star. Always a good/interesting read in the season and off season. I always subscribe for six months from the BIG issue, but still buy the others from Sainsbury/Morisons. Have done this for a while. Silly really but there you are.

Blimey, that is a poor looking team. What is going on ?
-
A cracking looking team, well done Sheffield.

Clubs in the Championship have finalised their line-ups,yet still no news on the NL Agm ????? Surely Clubs in the NL must be itching to get on with team building. Really poor state of affairs.

That is a bucketful of experience so far in the Rockets line-up. I would expect youth to complete team ?

Wish they would just get the AGM started.

Yes,agree. He would not of changed result but would of added entertainment. Ended up a complete joke that he did NOT ride at all. -
Kent V Eastbourne Playoffs

Kent had little chance in 2nd leg,but without Ayres - NO chance. I think this just shows what a joke doubling up is. Ayres rides in a MEANINGLESS meeting for Glasgow? Joke. -
Lakeside Vs Belle Vue, 21/9/16...
blueherb777 replied to Ace no.5's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What I find funny is that the Aces had TWO riders who scored 0 (nought,none)........ yet still WON by 8 points. Good old R/R for the No 1 Rider ...... Classic. -

Riders are just trying to stay on bike. No racing. -

Perfect weather today. Looks overwatered. Is Lawson homeless? -
Looks like Eagles will finish 2nd. I can see a Birmingham v Eagles Final. I say that as I think Kent have too many weak links. Time will tell.

I cannot guarantee anybody coming in and doing as good a job as AJ. Just to attract more Speedway supporters to fight the Dartford tunnel Traffic ( ) get in somebody like Hancock. -

What is a real shame is that Lakeside are running without a No 1 and sadly no AJ. I really thought that Cookie would really go for it and get a NAME in to make tomorrow interesting. I would have gone tomorrow, but now I really do not see the attraction at all. -

Giving it your best is going into the meeting without your No 1 and using R/R? To me the Lakeside team without AJ is nothing more than a Premier League outfit. Just saying. -

To be honest the way Lakeside sneaked in the back door to get in the playoffs,it would be a farce if the Aces did not reach the Final. -
I am in the situation where I do not know if I am fed up with Speedway or watching NL is just not for me. I used to go to Arena Essex/Lakeside until Kent Kings got going. I have only been to a few Kings meetings this season. I went to the Kings v Birmingham (NL Trophy Final) a while back and could not believe how low key it was,and it was supposed to be a Final? (Is it because it was NL?). I went to the Kings v Brum (KOC Semi)last week and left before the end. So I do not know if it is NL or Speedway in this Country. I do love watching the Swedish League and you get close racing with the top class riders.

Brummies V Kent Wed 7th Sep Ko Cup Semi Final 1st Leg
blueherb777 replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in National League Speedway
Do not agree. Kent have to beat Brum by 10 odd points. Brum have WON twice at Central Park already. So Kings will have to improve by 12-15 points from those meetings. Cannot see it. Love to be proved wrong. -
Great news for Kings, with Danny Ayres and Jack Thomas back on Monday.
