Kent Kings V Mildenhall Nt 9/5/16
blueherb777 replied to blueherb777's topic in National League Speedway
I gave the meeting a miss because of the weather. I am so glad I did not go. You need TWO teams to make a meeting - not half a team like Mildenhall. With 7 riders they would have found it hard, but with 5 it was impossible. And as it turned out they were a TWO man team. It was obvious if the meeting got to 15 heats Kings would hit 60 odd points. At least Brum in the Final will be a lot more competitive. -
Again I thought I would start a thread. Was planning to go but with the forecast and the fact it is raining now where I am I am giving it a miss. Also I see Armstrong is out and with Fen Tigers reserves looking to be novices, looking a walk over for Kings if it gets go ahead. Hope safe meeting for all.

Belle Vue Colts V Mildenhall 6 May 2016
blueherb777 replied to Aces51's topic in National League Speedway
Spot on. It looks a GREAT track and Belle Vue supprters and more will see some fantastic racing. -
But NO team silverware.Individual and pairs yes.
-
45-45 - Great result for Kings. Even though 2 or 3 riders struggled they still have enough strength to compete. I said recently that Kings would go close to silverware. After tonight I think they will go very, very close
-
Without doubt Kings toughest test yet. Will do well to hit 40 points. So I can see Brum win by 10.

Kent Kings V Isle Of Wight Koc Today 2/5/16
blueherb777 replied to blueherb777's topic in National League Speedway
Very very harsh to compare IOW with Wombwell ? Meeting started very slow for Kent (1-5) but soon got going and won comfortable in the end. Bit weird there was no announcements at the beginning and when it did work was not very loud (sort it out Kings). IOW have riders Compton,Smart,Baseby and Cockle who are capable of winning races. Real problem is very weak reserves. Ayres is such a trier, winner and crowd pleaser. Shanes not a great meeting, but not for the want of trying (track proved difficult to pass on ). Surely Kent will go very close to silverware this season. -
Just thought I would start thread. With rain coming later in the day, hopefully beat the weather. Kent will be looking to take nice lead into 2nd leg. Hope for safe meeting and good racing.

Spot on. These people have obviously complained more than once so the Council have seen through their lies. Why is it these people are not happy unless they are moaning to try and stop others having fun ?

How Far Do You Have To Travel?
blueherb777 replied to Gresham's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Living in Kent it takes about 30 minutes to Kent Kings. It should be roughly the same to Lakeside but usually on a Friday takes about 1.5 to 2 hours ??????? -
Ha,ha Eastbourne absolutely desperate not to lose to Kent AGAIN ! What place is that ?

Lakeside V Poole Ela. 8/04/16
blueherb777 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
When Poole scored a 1-5 in Heat 6 (their THIRD 1-5) I thought this meeting was only going one way. What was really noticeable last night was the riders that were struggling early on for Lakeside upped their game as the meeting went on. This was probably a mixture of the Tatum effect and bike changes. What was REALLY clear last night was the Lakeside won the MAINBODY (top5) match by 44 points to Pooles 23 ? I mentioned earlier that how Ellis can ride in the NL after looking as fast as most riders last night is beyond me. So really good Speedway last night with AJ looking class,Bridger coming good late on,Swiderski showing that he is class riding for the right team. Also Andersen showing that he is still a great rider. Just a pity about the travelling over from Kent was such a nightmare and much colder than I thought it was going to be. -
Lakeside V Poole Ela. 8/04/16

After a nightmare journey from Kent it looked like a Poole win early on. Great fight-back from Lakeside and shows they will be hard to beat at Home. Watt was terrible and Holder looks a shadow of his former self at the moment. AJ is class and worth entrance money alone. How on earth is Ellis ALLOWED to sign for Eastbourne in the NL ??? Joke. -
I have just received the Glasgow v Coventry programme. Well done Glasgow for producing a very classy programme.

Raiders V Kent Sun 3rd April ~ After Premier Match At 3pm
blueherb777 replied to waco's topic in National League Speedway
No Danny Ayres for Kent (riding for Glasgow).Mark Baseby comes in. Got the look of a close meeting. -
We all know of the disappointing start to the season with Belle Vue,Plymouth etc. But is was encouraging yesterday to hear that there was queues to get in yesterday at Lakeside,Eastbourne and the meeting I was at last night - Kent v Eastbourne - which was a very chilly Central Park.
-
Here`s my observations on yesterday. I only went to Central Park, but here goes. Let me start by saying I hope Hughes and Andrews are back sooner rather than later. Kent were probably fortunate with the score-line at Arlington but even so it is not very often a team scores 50+ away from Home. Eastbourne : I am sure the Club will strength as the season goes on as they are clearly weaker than last season. Jacobs looked fast (surely will be snapped up soon) and Knight also looked classy. Very weak at reserve. Now my thoughts on Kings. Bowen - Looks a really Solid No 1 and will score heavily Home and away. Clifton - For someone who has been away for 10+ years,he looked great and will put 2-3 points on his average. Ayres - Is there a more determined and entertaining rider is this League ? Doubt it. Mason - Solid and will score useful points as well as being a help to the younger riders. Shanes - A proper racer, although the track did not help his come from behind style. Verge - We have a reborn racer and will score very useful points this year. Thomas - I was very impressed for someone so young and looks a proper rider in the making. We know Brum will be up there and Cradley, but I have a feeling Kings will surprise a few this year and really show that Mr Pearsons prediction in the SS that Kent will finish BOTTOM as being miles off.

Yes agree fully. My favourite read of the year. Just starting the long read now. -
Have Kent given up on getting a No 8 ? I know it is hard to find a rider that can come into the team and make an impact. Season very close now,

Can I just ask what the capacity of the New Stadium will be ? Cheers. -
Some people just are not happy unless they have something to moan about. Reading the comments who are against is just so petty. Like not being able to sit in their garden or open their windows ????? A race lasts 60 odd secs, just 15 odd races, once a week. I live a few miles from Brands Hatch and you can hear the racing some meetings when the wind is in the right direction. So what ! Get a life train spotters.

Is it fair to say the Raiders look like the Dolly Parton of the NL ?
