  1. This has got the look of a close and entertaining meeting.Coventry`s 1st visit to Central Park, although some riders have been as Guests before. Can the` Kings`make it two wins on the trot at Home?
  2. Gustix. As far as I know Chris Mills and Chris Schramm are the only named riders so far.As far as I am concerned do not see why there has to be ANY reason for this fixture.Yes there was spare date,I think Kent supporters are grateful for regular Speedway (just ask Lakeside fans about fixture list being all over the place),Roger Cearns would quite naturally want to keep the Wimbledon name in the public domain (like when we had the Kent Laurels),it gives the riders of Kent another fixture and the riders that ride for the Dons.I suspect it is not easy getting a team together to represent the Dons (whether they have rode for them or not) and be competitive.
  3. Sorry if I am wrong, just going on the `Updates`site.
  4. I see it is for the `John Cearns Cup`.Neil hopefully will enlighten us who John is In the Cearns family tree. Gustix does there have to be a reason for this fixture other than - Kent Kings Owner Roger Cearns family is steeped in History concerning the Famous `Wimbledon Dons`.And surely any fixture that keeps the `Dons` name in the fixture list has to be good.
  5. Can I just say the `SpeedwayGB` site has 2 Kent Kings scores wrong.They have Morley 7 - Kingston 6.Should be Morley 5 - Kingston 8.
  6. Yes at last, the `Kings`break their duck, and how.I would say last night Kent did it in style.Boxall fastest rider by far on night, great win by Connor in Heat 8.Mason chipping in,although you could see he was having problems.Benji back to his previous form and Ben on fire (he was really revved up-will not say why).Jack battling all night and having all those rides to cober for Adam - hope he is OK soon.Highlights of the night - Wright throwing the toys out of the pram after Ben beat him in Heat 11.Forgetting he did same to Ben in Heat 7!!And the crowd booing very loudly when Wright was announced 2nd in Heat 11 - very funny. If ever a crowd deserved this victory it was the loyal Kent fans.GREAT NIGHT.
  7. ................................. and 1st WIN.................
  8. And Jack never gates.Always making it hard for himself.
  9. The big question - Will `The Kings` Win their FIRST ever competitive fixture (National League) ??And will the weather behave itself?
  10. We know that Mills/Schramm both rode for the Dons a while back.
  11. Do not think ANYONE is having a go at the riders.I would say the complete opposite. They were the heroes for giving it a go and try to get meeting complete - so much so a rider (Shane) ended up on his knees exhausted.
  12. Got to say not impressed at all with the situation of the Paramedic not turning up,not contacting anyone (apparently)and all the riders, supporters waiting 50 minutes or so to start in temperatures over 30 degrees and feeling like a jungle. And to make matters worse trying to rush through the meeting,no track maintenance, but worse still being TOTALLY unfair on the riders. And to cap it all I was near the pits and watching poor Shane Hazalden collapse with Heat exhaustion after his 5th ride.
  13. Keep digging Jim. #nobodygivesas**twhatjimsays.com.
  14. Wonder if any of above will end up a Mark Loram or all just potential that fades into mediocrity.?
  15. Or you could ask what happens to Mark Baldock, who replaced Sam Woods, before Sam Woods replaced Mark Baldock, before Dave Mason replaced Sam Woods, after Benji Compton replaced Dave Mason.
  16. Does this now mean riders have to give priority to the Polish,Swedish,Danish and Latvian Leagues over the ELITE ?
  17. Are you saying the Manager who bought in Bridger/Barker does not know what he is doing?
  18. I knew the World Cup this year was a joke (with Czechs in Final) but now we are seeing more jokes - JOKERS.
