Funny you should say that as I went to the Lakeside v Poole meeting Friday and have to say last night was much more enjoyable on a lot of fronts. The racing may have been a lot quicker at Lakeside, but that does not always make it better. For sheer effort, entertainment, feel good factor last night was better. It was in a way a throw back to years ago with some of the younger riders upright style of racing. And for sheer enthusiasm the crowd at Central Park take some beating. -

Have to agree with what Waco says.A very enjoyable, competetive, exciting Speedway meeting.Maybe the teams are closely matched and behind most others in this League, but there was no shortage of effort. The result was in doubt until the chequered flag in Heat 15.Thought Kent were going to get first win when Boxall and Compton gated in last Heat, but Wright was quick all night and swooped around the outside too share the spoils.Well done Steve for T/R in first Heat and the track has improved loads since opening meeting.I thought the crowd last night looked bigger than last week (I maybe wrong). As Waco says with Boxall`s high average, team changes are limited and we shall see if things improve (would not swop Steve,a real force in this League, fast when in front and never gives up when behind).Roll on next Monday against the Raiders. -

Simple FREE entry - get fans in - looks good for TV - supporters will still buy programmes/food/drink/merchandise.And maybe if Speedway is good will come back. -

First let me say well done to the Young Stars.Worrall on the pace straight away,Mallet looked good,Kerr we know is better and as we have seen before (Rose)a reserve on form wins meetings. As others have said Kent are so nearly there it just needs a bit more luck and most riders to click at once.Boxall seems to be suffering bike problems.Woods - on the pace just suffering being in main body.Morley - started slowly ended very well.Coles - showed that he can compete (well done).Compton - same as Boxall.Kirby - In thick of the action as usual(hard night with 7 rides).Kingston - Hope he is OK soon (I know there is a decent rider, just waiting to shine.).Confident first win will be next week against Buxton.Worry last night was that the crowd seemed well down from the IOW (first 6.30 start) fixture. -
Think it is time for Benji`s profile to be put on the Website instead of David.
-
Must admit could not understand why the meeting was so drawn out.I know in the afternoon there is trouble with dust and 30 tonnes of new shale would not help, etc.But I hope things can be sorted by next meeting (1st National League) against KL.Be interesting to know if the Kings riders thought the track was riding better than before.Great to see Compton on the gas straight away,Boxall/Morley not at their best (probably we expect too much?).Adam really is findng his feet.Do not need to say too much about the other guys as they still need to find some form/or should I say CONFIDENCE.Really decent turnout - must have been around 2,000.
-
Good effort Kings. Adam unlucky after 8 points then 2 EF.Nice boost for tomorrow.
-
Weather looking good.Do not expect the 3,000+ we had against the Americans?,but hopefully around 2,000.Surely Mildenhall will bring a bit of support.
-
Really hard seeing Kings getting much today.Hope I am wrong.
-
Well done Jim for another pointless post.God you are boring.
-
Can see IOW doing a Mildenhall like last year.
