  1. You say that, but on the other hand the riders you are talking about it all depends if they are riding in Sweden as well as Poland. If they are then I agree with you, but the ones who only ride in Poland imo, are not going to jack in British speedway and rely on Polish Speedway as their only form of income. As we all know it's a different animal out there as proved today. Brennan won his first race came last in his second and that was that. They are very fickle with riders and if they don't perform then they soon get dropped. The riders we are talking about need a safe back up and British Speedway is that and will imo continue. Only the top riders who you mention will not be riding here.
  2. About time thet got rid of those dirt deflectors. All they do is cause riders to fall when there is close racing. absolutely useless.
  3. Maybe Ben Trigger is putting himself in the window for next year, but with Cairns and Rushen Looking like the reserve pairing for next season. Maybe not so.
  4. This was always going to be a problem, especially when you were also putting a lot of faith in Boughe having to ride in the main body of the team. If you could have started with Boughen at resrve :"I know team averages" But an experienced No2 could have made such a difference to your campaign with Boughen and Hodder down at reserve.
  5. Unfortunately the standard has dropped so much that the two time winner of said championship is still after three seasons of racing got an average of a tad under three pts. We have produced 4 world champions and countless world finalists and GP riders from the championship. I can't see that happening any time soon!!
  6. Sorry don't want to reign on your parade. He beat the reserves and Palm Toff. Not exactly a sixteen year old Michale Lee, Mark Loram or Joe Screen is is it? Is that how far the standard of British speedway has fallen, that you rave about a sixteen year ole beating another two young riders with averages less than 3. Yet one of them managed to beat him twice!!
  7. But how many times did Perry beat Cairns. Surely two is better than none!!
  8. It's a shame Cooper Rushen is only 15. He has an average 3pts higher than Perry in the NDL In only his 1st season of racing. It was always going to be tough for Glasgow with two young reserves who didn't pull up too many trees the season before. Fair play to Hodder In the 2nd half of the season he has come on leaps and bounds, as showed last night in beating Cairns twice. Unfortunately Perry has shown no progress imo and is out of his depth. Regarding who can replace him. It's a tough one as barring Tom Spencer. Perry has the lowest average in the league. Which proves does it not, that for all what Vatcher raves on about. Their are not too many young English riders coming through at this moment in time. We have no one imo who could replace Perry, regardless how poor he has been riding.
  9. I agree, Both Reserves have rode fantastic, But C Holder and Janowski very poor
  10. I think Stead missed a trick in not giving Rowe gate one in place of Flint in heat 5
  11. Except his average is lower that Cairns. So Cairns would have to start in the main body, which i don't thing The Fords would want. There dream reserve pairing will be Cairns and Rushen.
  12. As I said it was a hard move, but Fricke held his line, so yes the ref got it wrong because the other was not skilful enough to stay on the bike. You see that move all the time in the GPs. Very rare to see the riders bail out. If they fell off after every hard move like last night. They would run out of time to complete the meeting.
  13. It seems a lot of the issues he has, is his willingness to throw the towel in as soon as the going gets tough. He's a fine rider, but with the mentality he has, It's going to be hard for him to step up the ladder. He's fortunate speedway is in such a dire state with lack of riders. Back in the day with plenty of riders to choose from, Kemp wouldn't be anywhere near the top of the list. One thing a team manger or fans hated back then was when a rider was not trying. Today it seems riders at the back knock it on the head before the chequered flag on a regular basis, but Kemp has taken that to a new level imo.
  14. Flint does not experience that kind of racing with GP riders. If that were a GP. One the rider would have stayed on and two it would classed as hard riding. Unfortunately Flint hasn't got the skill set to stay on the bike. Just look at heat 15. Holder and Ficke going at it flat no holds bar. and a wave after!!
  15. He seems to be making it a habit this season. I'm surprised he's partner for the most of the season Douglas has not had anything to say. The amount of times Howarth has made life hard for him on the track.
  16. 4-2 to the tigers in heat 12. Classic Tatum "another all square heat" 🤣
  17. Can't believe Tatum just said " just moving into the 2nd half of the meeting" Did he not realise it's heat 11 He's definitely getting worse in his old age!!
