Slightly off topic but my TV Guide magazine features next Wednesday's clash between Birmingham and Coventry as their "Pick of the Day" with a potted guide to what Speedway is all about but doesn't even show that the GP is being shown live on Saturday morning on Eurosport 1 only the repeat on Eurosport 2 later in the morning.

I always enjoyed Steve Johnson's commentaries/ comments when he used to do it on Sky's Elite League coverage so looking forward to the 23rd. The " DILLLIGAF" on the back of his Kevlars always raised a smile as well.

British Eurosport is a Bike friendly channel so this could give Speedway more exposure especially if the repeat showings of the GPs form part of the Superbike Sunday presentation, might get more Bike Racing fans interested in the sport.

Of course it will be worth the wait. I think we have a team that will be exciting to watch and do far better that the Doom-mongers seem to think they will. Simon Lambert's 11 point haul at Somerset was a good start.

It was in my TV Mag but looking on Sky's TV Guide on the net this morning it has been nerfed off by Spanish Football and is now the 90 minute version.

We stayed for three of the races but with the inevitable spills and stoppages it looked like being a long six heats and the lure of the car heater was too great. I shall try and atone for this sacrilige by attending on friday as well.
