You've loads of listeners!!! Mind you, most of them at the moment are animals so it seems (and no that doesn't include Honie ). Must come out and visit you in your studio like we said, but there's no way I'll be 'going live'. I'll bring Mother Trees along for that.

To be honest I'm not bothered who attends the dinner. It's just great to see so many faces from the world of speedway both past and present in the same room. As Steve says, if things can be worked out then maybe we will see some new faces in the next few years or so. Have to agree though, would love to see the likes of Michael Lee join up. Maybe have to have a little word next time we see him around Mildenhall or KL.

Well if you're a wine drinker QB, the Hilton Coventry wasn't the place to be. £6.75 for a large glass!!! Was much cheaper going back to my room every so often and topping up from my own supply.

Just about recovered from my weekend away. Although I don't think I have yet completely defrosted from my trip to Mildenhall yesterday afternoon!! Back to Saturday though. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, was great to make yet more new acquaintances and to meet up again with some other friendly faces from previous times. Pre-dinner drinks was good fun, thanks to M & J for letting us invade your room. Down to dinner and two years ago we were lucky to have a very good table and this year was no exception, (thanks Vic). Was so pleased Crumpy was guest of honour this year, one of my faves when I got back to watching regular speedway at KL in 2000. Nice to see some younger faces being invited to these do's. Hopefully if things go to plan we'll see a lot more 'younger' riders becoming members of this fantastic association. So looking forward to reading Jason's new book too. Micman, really good that you were able to get those interviews, can't wait to see them wherever they surface. So glad you and Tracey enjoyed yourselves too. Looking forward to next year already.

Not so sure about the 'morning' bit, hopefully after a good old fry up it'll set me up for the day ahead. Will need it for first speedway fix of the season on Sunday at Mildenhall.

Had my letter back in December telling me the price of my rooms booked at Cardiff East had increased to £72.95 per room. I took the liberty of booking them as soon as the GP date was released not even knowing at the time if I was going to bother going to the GP, and I think at the time the rooms were approx £50. As soon as I got the letter, I cancelled immediately. Decided I would rather sit in the comfort of my own home and watch GP than pay that price!! I suppose as has been said previously, you only need to guarantee the booking with a credit card, therefore Travel Inn feel they have every right to increase the prices as they see fit.

Well I had to take a year off to get over the previous year...being introduced to and shaking hands with the 6 times speedway world champion the very minute I arrived at the hotel was rather daunting to say the least. Least he won't be quite so shocked this year eh Honie? Be good to see you there again Norbold.

Anyone else coming along to the VSRA this year? Had to duck out of last year's unfortunately, but will be there this year. Special guest for the evening will be Jason Crump along with his wife Melody. Should be good fun, even Mr and Mrs Micman will be dining with us this year

Somebody close to me got his copy for Xmas, very pleased too his is with it and can't seem to put it down. Keeps reading out bits to me all the time, so looks like I'll be having a read in due course.
