  1. Having watched Josh in the NL for Leicester this season I was impressed by his tidy style and willingness to go out and attack the track which many others at that level find difficult. Leicester is probably the nearest shape wise to Newcastle but with more banking so that may of helped. It will be interesting to see if he can go up a level from a decent NL reserve to a solid second string next year.
  2. Last time Pedersen rode at Leicester was in the Magnus testimonial meeting at the start of 2012, so he is due a return lol
  3. Disappointed for Connor Mountain though, thought he was excellent this year. He will be a useful addition for someone next season.
  4. So do Morris & Howarth fit with the Thompsons at reserve? Looks like a mid to late April start to the season then.
  5. Not quite sure how you can deliberately doctor a track that was partly submerged 24 hours earlier.
  6. At a push I thought we would need a 10 point lead to have a sniff of a chance on aggregate, so on that front 12 is a plus. However, Glasgows reserves won't be that poor at home and you wouldn't expect Cook or Jensen to drop many points either. So both teams have it all to go for. Poor refereeing decisions, didn't he the think Vissing touched the tapes then?
  7. Nope but might need brollies. Smidge of little drizzle in the air.
  8. Don't think that is too far out
  9. On a separate note, who else though Lawlor pipped Stewart on the line in heat 7? I was pretty much level with the line on the back straight and thought he got it by half a wheel.
  10. A great meeting and a right nail biter. Some cracking heats early doors but became a little bit of a one line track when it slickened off. Thought it would go to the wire and any result could have been possible in heat 15. Credit to both teams and the noisy away support, all the best for tomorrow in cup.
  11. It's been dry so far today in south Leicestershire. I think it could go down to the wire tonight.
  12. Me neither as they have the most fixtures to fit in and it's a GP night. So Tuesday or Wednesday then?
  13. For Morley to be in the mix for me, he will need to up his game from the league meeting a couple of weeks ago.
  14. On his day you would have to say Perks but even he has made a few silly mistakes this year with couple of them simply trying to go too fast. Hume has got better as the season has gone on. Of the others I've seen this year, Kemp has not looked at all comfortable at Leicester, Rowe has been good value and you can't discount Clegg if he gates.
  15. Better make sure my euromillions ticket is in place lol
  16. Maybe because Leicester Cubs are normally a Saturday track and will be riding in the play offs & cup. But then again the Lions got Joe Lawlor even though Stoke are Saturday too.
  17. Howarth not fit enough to ride for Sheffield tonight.
  18. Narrows it down to Edinburgh & Redcar then as Glasgow & Sheffield also meet on Saturday. The only ones that look a good fit average wise are Wells (injured?), Heeps, Pickering & Palm-Toft (injured?) so I know what my guess would be.
  19. Pickering? did a good job earlier in the season but does not seem to be back at the same level yet coming back from an injury.
  20. At the moment I would take whoever finishes 4th but anything can happen in the next few days to change that. Just looking forward to this weekend first.
  21. Gilkes was also class around Leicester last Saturday. First time I have seen him, very fast and never out of control on a track which catches many inexperienced riders out. Definitely one to watch.
