Gilkes was also class around Leicester last Saturday. First time I have seen him, very fast and never out of control on a track which catches many inexperienced riders out. Definitely one to watch.

Certainly a lot closer racing this week. Personally I think it's better with less dirt as long as it's evenly spread across the track and not left to build up on the outside. Watching from the back straight there did seem to be a bit of a bump going into the 1st bend.

It will be interesting to see how KP goes. He had a decent meeting for Leicester there last season with 9 from 5 after taking a couple of heats to suss it out.

That's good to hear. He was being chased very hard by Richie Worrall and tried to cover his run round the outside of bends 1 & 2, unfortunately he got the exit all wrong and bailed off just in time at high speed into the fence at the start of the back straight.
