I hope so too, given some of the recent offerings. Couldn’t make it last night but my son said it was brilliant and he doesn’t say that very often.

The track has been excellent for the most part this season, Last night it appeared to be super smooth, so don’t know if that contributed to less passing than usual this year.

Fully deserved win for the Pirates better team on the night.

James Wright scored 4+1 from 7 rides (with 4 lasts) for Newcastle at Leicester. Redcar is a bit easier for Aussies to get round first time out than Leicester, though there are plenty who eventually get the hang of it.

Dan Thompson completed his 4H & 4A on Sunday at Eastbourne.

Thinking about trundling over for this, no mention of pay on the gate on the website though from what I can see.

Also not Kevin Coombes finest afternoon. Arrived late, consistently got the name of Leicesters sponsors wrong (JBC?) got the score wrong (probably due to the late arrival in part fairness) and didn’t notice Dan Thompson had replaced Zaine Kennedy in heat 11.

It was the hose pipe today. They got away with it at one grading break when they had 2&4 in 4 consecutive heats, hence the fight back, but got caught next time round and were made to even then all out.

I don’t know the answer but Jake rode at 2 and not at reserve, if that makes any difference.

I’m certainly not taking anything for granted, there is still a long way to go to the end of the season and there are plenty of other decent teams in with a shout.

The worst part of Ty’s performance today apart from turning right instead of left was pulling onto the centre green under power after a couple of laps when last only for Clegg to have a problem and have to push his bike round for half a lap. If he had carried on he would have a got a point and so would we. Just totally unprofessional and did not appear to go down well in the pits either.

Good meeting, good crowd and all done in 100 minutes with both teams using RR with a fair few 2 on the trots. Dan Thompson is on fire round BP at moment.

I agree it ain’t great for the spectators but an upgrade isn’t cheap apparently. Just need someone to win the lottery I suppose.

They are not new, they were just realigned and cleaned and that came direct from the electrician.
