Polish Extraleague 2020

Has anyone else taken off 4 other riders in the same meeting? -
He had a really weird style and who could forget the somersault over the air fence against Newport and walking back to the pits through the crowd.

I’ve got a Leicester v Coventry tape from the early 80’s knocking around somewhere.
-
David Howe never rode for Leicester.
-
Mike Lanham ran into the back of Gordon Kennett when his bike packed up on the home straight in a Border Trophy meeting against Kings Lynn in 1983. Certainly one of the worst crashes I have seen. I remember Mike Farrell breaking his femur at some point but cannot recall the specific crash. The other one that sticks in my mind was Chris Holder at Coventry.

Douglas & Bates? Perks & Mountain?
-
Nicholls & Perks?

Pity the way it finished for the Sizzlers but it paved the way for Cosby to join the league with Antic Roadshow, Spill The Beans & Paul Weller as the heat leaders.
-
Can't remember who he rode for, was it Pete Butlers Heroes?

What happens if one of the team gets offered a place in a NDL side during the season, say as an injury replacement before the NT is completed. How would that be different to the Flint situation?
-
Just checked, looks like I missed that one (I was only 13). Being a Reading meeting I am disappointed that Arnie hadn't got everything memorised lol.

If I manage to get into the loft this week I will see if I have a programme for this one.

It's James Chattin.

Thanks John

Beaumont Sports Complex is still active though and isn't that the company that runs the site? I would guess the other dissolved companies were to do with the speedway promotion side of things?

Was at the king power yesterday and noticed they had upgraded to led floodlights. Wonder what happened to the old ones, they could have come in useful for the lions.

Having seen the Thompson's & Lawlor at Leicester this year I wouldn't say Lawlor is well ahead. More experienced yes but ability wise there is not much in it. Across both Stoke matches at Leicester he only managed to beat a Thompson once.

Having watched Josh in the NL for Leicester this season I was impressed by his tidy style and willingness to go out and attack the track which many others at that level find difficult. Leicester is probably the nearest shape wise to Newcastle but with more banking so that may of helped. It will be interesting to see if he can go up a level from a decent NL reserve to a solid second string next year.

Last time Pedersen rode at Leicester was in the Magnus testimonial meeting at the start of 2012, so he is due a return lol
-
Disappointed for Connor Mountain though, thought he was excellent this year. He will be a useful addition for someone next season.

So do Morris & Howarth fit with the Thompsons at reserve? Looks like a mid to late April start to the season then.
