Maybe best not taking any risks as Sunday is way more important than a Saturday friendly in the grand scheme of things.

Quite impressed with Liam Carr, he did ride very well and was a bit unlucky with the exclusion. Good to see another young Brit with potential.

Lewis only beat the same 3 riders all night, Sarjeant (which he would expect to) Klindt (his own team mate) & Ellis.

Must have been the turbulence then as Maggie was on the home straight by the time Auty binned it.

Have to agree about Sarjeant, was a lot closer than Branford, just wish he had tried the outside on the last bend against Lewis, if he carries on with the same effort hopefully the points will come. It was also pleasing to see an outside pass by Nemo.

There was certainly plenty of dirt on it to start with (perhaps a tad too much for some), the middle heats were excellent until all the dirt ended up by the fence. With amount of moisture in it, the track was the best it has been this season IMO.

This for a guest for Nemo, not for one of ours.

After the Scunny shale was put on last year, the surface was definitely the better for it and there was some excellent heats at the end of the season (Workington and Newcastle spring to mind). This year the track appears to have gone back to its old red colour and despite some encouraging signs in the first couple of meetings when there appeared to be an outside line developing round 3 & 4, the Redcar meeting really was a borefest. I know it has been said elsewhere, but I would like to see someone at least try a wider entry into 3 to cut back coming off 4.

The shale seemed to be back to the old red colour, instead of the Scunny brown that it was at the end of last year, or is it just my failing eyesight ?
