Surely the point here is that The Millennium Stadium themselves must sort out these issues with ageing equipment. IMG can't do it but can clearly exert pressure.

IMO definitely bigger crowd this year. 1st/2nd bend nearly full - usually is but wasn't last year. 3rd/4th bend much fuller with seats occupied to the top. Main straight - usual sparse attendance. Back straight very busy (though I only got that impression from TV coverage as I was there myself)

Top tier, start/finish line always sparse, cos ticket prices much higher than back-straight. Better for TV to concentrate lots of people along the back straight.

Fantastic from Holder. Agree disappointed for Gollob. Thought the track should have been watered but not a drop; got too slick. Great meeting - think the attendance may have been the best so far. 'Entertainment' was the worse ever - Miss Frank were miscast, and the regular blokey who sings the anthems did his usual interval slot, as usual BADLY. Clearly he comes with the Stadium as the regular turn.

I understand security were confiscating certain types of airhorn last year. Can someone advise what to look out for as I intend to buy some in the City Centre on Saturday.

With the GP challenge sorted, not unreasonable to have advised the brit or brits who will be given a wild card.

Felt like he's already been given the nod so is planning and preparing for next year.

Tai has just dropped a strong hint that he is in the GPs next year. "I want to be in the GPs next year .... busy preparing bikes"

At least we know the ages of most riders, who is the track record holder, oh and we know the start marshall moves.

I lost the first 3 hours! Was watching it and checking that it was recording; all looked ok, despite the overrun. Had to go out so doubled-up recording the last hour on manual record on a different channel. Got back and the original recording was just 45 minutes (the last 45). This has happened before when the schedule is not updated and an overrunning programming overlaps wit the next.

Good post - agree with all points.

The commentary by Tatum and Louis was perfect. For me, a good commentary is one that does not destract the viewer and is there if you want to hear it. With Pearson and Millard, it is overbearing and cannot be ignored. Plenty of letters of praise to SKY. At least we can hopefully prevent the return of Millard when Pearson is back on soccer duty....
