Announcements typically Thursday to coincide with publishing of Speedway Star. Tho might be earlier as Xmas week….

Danny Ford in today’s Daily Echo “I know there has been a lot of negativity around this, especially with what’s happened at Swindon (dropping out the league for 2021) and stuff. “We do appreciate that – we are going to keep our fans updated on the situation. People shouldn’t worry just yet.” Don’t like that last sentence? :-(

Keep up Adam Ellis still to sign

Quote by Matt Ford on SpeedwayGB yesterday: I personally have to see Bjarne ride Wimborne Road again before he retires, whether that be as a Pirate, in a Challenge match or at his own Farewell meeting
-
No reason for saying no as the league remains at 7 teams
-
will be in 2 weeks and first signings announced
-
I believe most of 2019 Pirates don't live in Poole (or nearby) so likely only Middlo and Dan will rack up a big increase in mileage!
-
Don't see how Poole could field a decent team in the CL. Apart from Grajczonek at No 1 and assuming Kurtz and Holder don't drop, the rest of the 2019 team already have CL team places and likely to commit to those for 2020 at the earliest.....

Have Holder and Kurtz averages actually improved over the last three seasons? -

Plenty of minor flooding on local roads so definitely the right decision -

IMO riders from the previous season standings 9-15 should NOT be allowed to qualify via the Challenge. They've failed so give others a chance! That said, Vaculik will initially deprive another if he does well as already pretty much guaranteed to finish top-8 this season -
How many points are left and what is Nikolai’s average?

I feel the critics are slamming this team (though not fully announced) with an eye on a time gone past. None of the teams for 2019 are looking particularly 'exciting' or 'strong' but that is what our sport has become. The reserves are not 'new' to the league and we've risked untried riders before with only limited success. Jack and Brady will only improve year-on-year - I agree there will be a lot of pressure on them but they've similar averages so are likely to interchange top spot throughout the season. I would be happy with Nicolai, Josh and Richie to complete the team as sadly Kacper and Frederik have out-priced themselves. Make the most of whatever team we end up with, and I am NOT buying into any debate about 2019 being the last season.

Im sure we ALL hope the topic reverts to RELEVANT and SENSIBLE chat tomorrow as we anticipate announcement of the first signing ....

Best result all round. Bomber loves the big tracks and PB closer to his home
-
Feel Chris might prefer Peterborough if he has a choice as it is closest to his base and a big fast track. Whilst I'd like him back at Poole in 2019 (he's a Brit, a racer, and a crowd-puller), he may feel 'been there done that' having been part of a winning team. And in a toss-up with Jack Holder, there is no doubt Jack has the greater potential but only IF his attitude has matured as much as his riding!

Lambert to Robins, Doyle to Stars

Gutted if he chooses not to ride in the UK next year, but will surely choose to cut down on a weekly commute to the UK. He's got many years ahead of him ... -

That was a class move by Lambert - committed from a long way back and nailed it
