i think there is great racing tonight. great turn out.

They cant ban all streaming as some companies have licences to show streaming. I stream around my house and if I wanted to I could put this onto a website and stream to others. I cant see how they can stop me.

With less than 4 weeks away the world cup speedway will be well on its way. I have brought my tickets for the playoffs and the final. But what I can’t seem to find is practice times for the riders that are in the playoffs. Will they have practice time on the track. Does anyone know the details ie dates and times. It would be nice to see the teams practice before the event

Sppedway has got too expensive for this country. People watch their money a lot more now then a few years ago. With this in mind then speedway needs to come down in price. I know some people will say £15 - £17 not bad but when you think you are only getting 17mins avg for £15 it expensive. A race is normally 1min or less sometimes just over with only 15 races as someone has said it works out £1 a race. The thing is for me that I find its not so much the paying to get in it’s the add on like a programme, food, fuel, car parking (which is a joke). A normal meeting for me locally will cost around £40-£50 for the night. I don’t have that type of money for week in week out. I have stopped going to speedway as much for the reason its too expensive. When we had teams all over the place then it wasn’t a problem. Promoters need to do something and we have always said on here that they don’t do as much as they use to. With also riders coming from abroad and not making the money because of their outlay well that’s simple don’t sign to ride for that club. I cant seeing speedway changing for years with its price and everything else. For myself its cheaper to use my Avios points a go to Poland which I have done than watch a match in the UK.

I think we should go with a strong team at Kings Lynn so we can get stight into the final. I know harris is not on form at the mo but when it somes to World cup he seems to dig deep and get the result. I think Tai should be picked he has come on leaps. Barker always gives his best for his country and kennett. Then when we go to the Final bring in Auty and Worrall and Cook if Cook want to ride for the UK. I would then drop Harris and Kennett. So the team in the final would be Tai, Auty, Worrall, Barker or Cook. The reason for this with CZ being in the final will come last, sorry CZ but i dont think they will even get 3rd so at least UK will get 3rd and it will give the team a chance in the final and experiance what a final is like. If they had to go from the Thursday meeting i dont think they would stand a chance and there is a differant between the final and a race off.

Im glad im going to the race off and the Final and not just the Final. I agree that the country or team should qulifi and not just be put into the Final. I hope that in our group we win and go stight to the final as we would at least get a bronze and not 4th over all. Whats the chance of the UK going to the Final and not a race off.

i think people are getting it all wrong about why we had to wait for the Speedway. I know the tennis was on Eurosport but we get British Eurospoprt and the 2 run on different freq. Broadcasters for British Eurosport could have put the speedway on they just choose not to and wait for the tennis to finish. This is why it makes it more frustrating

If companies want to stream or individuals then why not. I pay for my speedway but not with sky. I have Polish, Swedish, Czech and all the GP etc. If I wanted to set up a Live stream then I can. In the summer I have an outside cinema and when the weather is nice I can stream the live match let’s say Polish match on a Sunday and watch it outside. If I put this onto a website then people would be able to watch it. It not about people being tight and not paying for Sky its about what people want. You can say im lucky with what I have which I think I am but if I didn’t have the money then I would ask the same question. I don’t get Elite League speedway but I don’t miss it. I use to get sky but cancelled my contract as I get the above speedway for £16 per month.

First time i have watched speedway on British Eurosport and i have to say not happy at all. I had to recorded the meeting on my new BT vision box, which was fine but as the meeting started late i missed the last race and also not to see the first 5 races not very good. I know events do sometimes run over and that can’t be helped but when i put the programme on it wasn’t the tennis it was WSBK then followed by car racing why didn’t they just go to the speedway instead of showing crap. I thought the commentator’s where very good especially if you are new to speedway, as Scott was explaining about the rules ie 2min etc. Apart from that good racing

Correct you have got it right. it might be hands down the the Polish team will win but i thought a TV company will show the match. Oh well!

I cant beleive it there is speedway on Sat in Poland and no TV showing the match. I really thought there would be a TV company showing it. Eurosport will be showing the World Cup in July so why is there not anyone showing the U21.

I have always said if you want a big corwd then you have to look at what other coutries do to get crowds at speedway. Every Sunday i watch speedway on TV in Poland and the crowds are always full or nearly full. They also get big crowds in CZ every once in a while and sometimes in Denmark and Swenden if they can do it why cant the UK. I think the promoters dont help sky never did anything and i dont know if they are still like that but you want get big crowds if they keep speedway runnning the way they do.

If anybody has sportklub there is speedway on tonight at 5pm UK time. I dont know what the meeting will be as they have not put what is on it just says speedway.

Cant wait for the summer and hot weather to come and cant wait for the 3 day racing at Donnigton. From motorbike racing to Grasstrack racing. Looking forward to it.

I dont agree with what people are saying about touching the tapes. Its simple touch the tapes and your out. The next thing people will be asking will be that if you come off and you have stopped the race and its the final is should be all 4 back, i dont think so. I know years ago you could touch the tapes but rules have changed. Riders must be ready and if your reactions are not good enough then you miss the start. Riders work hard on getting the start right and if you are in the final and havent touch the tapes once all evening then you have had 6 rides to get there then you must be somthing right. But to say but them back or have a handicap is just stupid. But i do think the final should be 6 laps no question about that.

It is a shame that you cannot get Hotbird 13e in USA. We are so lucky in Europe that if we want to see other speedway we can but i think including myself that there are other fans outside Europe that would like to see speedway in other countries. You must be doing your nut I know I would. Do they show speedway in America on TV.

To all, you know that I will have something to say about this topic. I agree that it is bad that we don’t have polish league on our TV with a British company but you can get polish speedway and lots of other speedway with a polish sat. As most people on this forum know I have polish TV and I get to watch about 4 meetings a week sometimes 5 with most of them live or just 2 days old, and also a week old. The price I pay is only £16 a month. With regards to how the racing is in Poland they know how to race and prepare the tracks also with after the meetings the riders will go to the crowds and kind of say thank you for their support. It is so different out there and not just in Poland but also in Czech and Swedish. It has opened my eyes to speedway and how us the UK goes so wrong and why we are so left behind with speedway. For example I was watching the junior finals last night in and the meeting was unbelievable. Not one UK person was in it. Ok I don’t get UK speedway but to the point I don’t miss speedway on our TV because I am saving my money not having sky and I am getting great speedway. The hardest thing was trying to understand the language but you pick things up and not all the interviews are done in Polish. You get some riders who can only speak English so not too bad at all. The best thing about it is that I also get the channels in HD and it makes a difference. It’s a shame it’s not in 3d but I think that will come. Anyway to round it’s about time that someone one takes on sky like europsort are doing showing the GP and World Cup with also other races. The person who also owns the rights to show Polish Speedway which I believe is GSI should be ashamed as if they were so into speedway then they would do a deal with a TV company so show Polish Speedway to UK viewers.

Really enjoyed the match yesterday. As some people have said there are a few things they need to improve. I was sitting on turn 1 and didn’t hear anything that came across so didn’t hear that heat 2 was awarded. Thought the track could of been a little bit deeper. But great turn out.

i wil be there and looking forward to it. With regards to is anyone interested in going i think there will be but im not 100% sure. What i think they have missed out on there website is that they haven't put id there is anything going on before the meeting that i can see. So do people get there early and be bored or turn up with 15-20mins and take a risk. Im taking my 4yr old newphew to his first speedway meeting. Cant wait

1st May 2.30pm Uk time on TV. NSport. Its only a friendly but should be good racing as Russia have really come on over the last few years.

im glad someone has aksed this question as i am taking my dad to the event for his birthday. I have now booked the tickets and it is good to see that you can book for both days and for the same seats.

Im sure im not the only one that things if speedway starts a little bit earlier then more familes would turn up, i agree that childern can sleep on the way home but not everybody likes doing that.
