  1. Calm down I don't recall any of us Richardson dislikers saying he faked an illness.........yet another example of things being twisted. Take a deep breath...feeling better now. Support the Danes you must be joking ....come on you Aussies
  2. He has not been slagged off, all we have said is we don't like him. Now if disliking a rider is slagging him off I'll plead guilty. Amazing how things get twisted
  3. And I'll crochet a massive shawl to keep him warm Cheetahawk, welcome to the circle, just make sure your wool doesn't clash with the colours we are using If we keep this going long enough it might even get halfway towards the length of one of the we hate Nicki P threads now I wonder if all those having a go at us, do the same to the folk that don't like him
  4. I've not met Tony Blair , but I know I don't like him
  5. I used to look froward to him riding until I realised that he appeared to hold the fans in contempt as he often did not appear. I've never said either were not good riders simply that I didn't like them Going back to my crochet now
  6. No bigotry, I just don't like him full stop. For the record I felt exactly the same way about Ivan Mauger, it didn't stop him being a good rider, just one I didn't like. In Mauger's case is was mainly for his penchant for not arriving for meetings he was supposed to be in when I was looking forward to seeing him ride. In Richardsons's case it's his constant stream of excuses both before and after the events. Shazzy and ML can I join your knitting circle with my crochet.....I'm a bit on the dangerous side with pointed needles
  7. Is practice compulsory? I ask because we would rather like Tomas Topinka at Lynn on Wednesday night
  8. Not read all this thread but I have to say what a crap track that was There were more passes made because of mistakes caused by a poor track than anything else. What the hell is the point of having the best riders in the world and giving them a rutted, inconsistent surface to perform on I suggest whoever is responsible come to King's Lynn and takes lessons, and anyone who was at the Premier Chase will probably agree with me. Rant over.
  9. Nope, don't like Lee Richardson, never have and never will. It was his home track and if he can't ride it there's no hope for anyone.
  10. LT , my first comment after Lindbacks successful attempt at skittles was "Nicki P would have been proud of that move" my second was "bet there arnn't 20 pages slagging Linback off". My opinion for what it's worth was he was rightly excluded and the GPs would be a far more boring place without him and Nicki. Lord above knows they need something to liven the ruddy things up with this year.
  11. Reported on the yahoo list that todays practice in Prague is off due to rain. Let's hope the weather improves by tomorrow.
  12. With the amount of rise you are getting LT, I would suggest diversifying into gourmet souffle
  13. Amazing how a thread gets hijacked by serious people. I'm with LT this thread should have been locked 4 pages ago
  14. A formula that was dropped because they said you knew the result way before the end and a big climax was needed. Yeah that worked well, now the series result is known well before the end. I guess that's progress, but count me in with the old farts who prefer a straight 20 heat formula, and preferably one that riders can actually qualify for.
  15. I've got my cynical head on at the moment and it says Trick isn't going to make the Semis to allow the rest of the field to catch up slightly and so enhance the later rounds of the series. Not entirely sure what misfortunes will befall him but a combination of efs and dodgy exclusions sound good
  16. and believe me Trees it's been very hard earnt today I'm pleased you can see that I was in fact trying to be constructive and I defy anyone to be too rational at time of day I posted I wasn't actually complaining, simply passing comment in the hope that it might be improved next year. I'm assuming those that say I was complaining think everything was perfect Maybe I should join the fashion and quit the forum cos everyone is taking my comments the wrong way but then you and Bryn both know that's not my way. I shall stay and be the proverbial PITA
  17. Mine too but it did have a nominal price of £7! I did enjoy myself but I'm assuming someone from BSI reads this forum as several suggestions in the past have been taken up so I just thought maybe we could help them improve . Call it a customer satisfaction survey
  18. Bit late but I've been busy. What did everyone else think of the overall presentation this year? U 15s - excellent idea, be better if they had had a "final" as well but something is better than nothing. Parade - as on Hummer thread, naff, boring and didn't work Presentation of riders - awful. Julia Bradbury looked totally out of place to me and I'm not sure that she added anything to it (apart from the obvious for the fellas) Progs - overpriced, loads of mistakes and omissions. Bjorn Again - Disappointed in them, sound levels seemed unbalanced and they really didn't get the crowd involved. Presenter - he was good but didn't have much zing IMO. Maybe BSI place restrictions on him as I've seen him get far more involved. Music - not exactly crowd involving IMO apart from the 14 renditions of Amarillo of course Interval entertainment - where was it? Fireworks - excellent but not as good as last year Big Screen - not restricted to Cardiff I know but I found the results graphics very hard to read on the big screen. As I don't fill a prog in, the big screen was the only way of knowing the riders accumulative scores and I couldn't read them
  19. Sue, I'd provisionally book a room NOW, you can always cancel if necessary . We booked ours on Saturday morning out of the city and ever since have been trying to find rooms closer to the centre with no luck...unless you want to pay £100+.
  20. Apologies Stokie will edit the post now. THat's what comes of trying to cram reading the forum into a 20 minute break
  21. Old Saint, I'm sorry you had a bad experience with the stewards but it's a bit unfair to tar them all with the same brush. Just to redress the balance I'd like to say in 5 years we have found the stewards to be helpful, considerate and more than helpful and without their help our party would find it very difficult to enjoy the GPs at the MS. Not had any dealings with the Heddlu tho .
  22. I'm with Stokie on this one. I do not stand for God save the Queen. Why should I ask a "supreme being" (if there is one which I doubt) to save just one person. I stood for the Welsh anthem and I'll stand for Rule Britannia or Land of Hope and Glory. I'm just not a monarchist does that make me ignorant too EDITED for reasons of accuracy
