After what has been a brilliant season for both Coventry Bees and Storm, this is a sad way to end the season. I feel really sorry for the Coventry Storm riders as this will now be like a home meeting for Cradley as Clegg and Perry both rode for leicester in the FTD and a lot of their team had experience riding there last year in the EL whilst most of the storm riders didn't and it is also Sarjeants worst EL track. Very worrying with everything going on with Sandhu wanting to get rid of the stadium

Birmingham Brummies - Has The Come Back Trail Started?

Really sad to hear, enjoyed the meetings with Birmingham. An team in the EL & PL has been ruled out for Birmingham but maybe they could have their own NL team like Eastbourne. -
Max Fricke for me. Even guested and did well as a heat leader in the EL
-
Didn't see him yesterday but he is usually there on EL race nights.

Colin Pratt is in charge of the track. It changes every time we have a meeting on it. Produced some great racing in our EL meetings this year though. They seem to struggle after stock car meetings

Did he really hurt his ankle (even though no crash) or was it so reserves could cover him as he was scoring poorly? -

Fingers crossed for a return for Birmingham very soon. X -
Difference is Harris has qualified for his place not just expected to have it handed to him regardless of his behaviour. Maybe this is the fall back down to earth Ward needed to realise he's not the be all in speedway
-
Really glad Ward hasn't been given a wild card. He threw away his best chance this year and so should now have to earn the place through qualification like Doyle has. Personally I haven't missed him in the Gp as seemed to spend most of his time coming down to force a rerun. There are better riders in the series than him such as Iversen and Holder.

Same here. Have loved watching them and with more teams joining the NL next year, it could be even better

SPEEDWAY STATEMENT Coventry & Cradley Tuesday October 07, 2014 THE Speedway Control Bureau has issued a statement following an investigation into an incident at the Coventry v Cradley National League KO Cup tie on Friday September 26. Under the Chairmanship of Tony Gillias, the SCB Court that included Alex Harkess & Gary Thompson having viewed the video evidence and heard mitigating statements from those riders made its finding known to each Riders following a full review in camera. All 3 Riders were found guilty of the charges and the penalties were advised as follows: James SARJEANT: 12 months Suspension, that itself is suspended for 12 months plus a £100 Fine and Costs. Nathan GREAVES: 12 months Suspension, that itself is suspended for 24 months plus a £250 Fine and Costs. Danny PHILLIPS: 12 months Suspension, that itself is suspended for 24 months plus a £250 Fine and Costs. The SCB Members stressed the importance to each Rider of the need for them to learn from this unfortunate incident and wished them good success in the future. Each Rider is entitled to lodge an Appeal to the ACU should they wish to do so in accordance with The 2014 Speedway Regulations. -
But if more fans were attending the Peterborough meetings then he would have more money coming in to pay them. The problem both last year before Horton took over and this year is that sadly there are not enough fans attending.

He was one of the ones who tried to drag Sarjeant off the bike which made him lose control of it. -

Thats Nathan's side of the story. A lot of us fans saw different. I guess we will have to wait now and see what the police report says. The video evidence will show what happened -

Thats the main point and the event that caused what followed. Greaves racing was that bad that lap 3 the race was stopped as the ref deemed him to be dangerous and was concerned he would cause a accident. You don't see that happen very often when a rider hasn't come off. Nathan's dad is under investigation for GBH so he won't be allowed to be in pits on Monday
