It will only get worse as the clueless are in charge. Marginalising supporters and taunting them about ticket prices and needing supporters to support a venture that could be in financial jeopardy. Where was the initial business plan for SON? Was their ever one? Who can afford to go to every League, Cup, Colts and SON. £61 for a family tomorrow, Food £27.90 for Adult dining and £11.90 for Children........ Total of £100.80 This equates to £6.72/minutes racing..................If you include the tractor racing of 30 minutes/meeting, how does this look to any new/potential speedway supporter. Businesses fail due to bad planning and management, fact. Forget about it being on TV, make it cheaper/freebies to school kids on the night to attract newbies and actually get it out their so people know speedway exists in Manchester still.

With the apathy shown by the British Speedway Supporters, just thought I would give the Women a well deserved mention. Well done Rachel and Katie, superb effort.

Funny how Schliem commented that the rubber on the inside would prove better for grip and nothing on the outside. How can this clown, steal a living knowing nothing about speedway -

Taking into consideration the young lad is only 15 and if he has suffered any form of injury, surely the assailant is guilty of assaulting/abusing a minor? -
From SCB Website Due to this Breach Mr Complin SCB Registration has been suspended with immediate effect for a period of 30 days as of the 12th April 2024 pending a SCB Disciplinary Court Hearing So the disciplinary should have been heard by now? But nothing on SCB website about it!

So 90% on here believe once a criminal always one. Well lets criminalize all the boat people. They are all criminals, trying to enter our country illegally period. What happens, we open our arms and pay them to stay and in 5 star hotels. Then rape, torture and pillage. Spend a few months in prison, come out and kill innocent people. Categorisation with Jason Garrity crime?

Let`s put thing in to context here. Most of the above named riders were alleged products of the Youth System. Due to the Youth System Palin suffered injuries and retired, he was progressing nicely until the Youth system swallowed him. The Thompson Twins separated from the system and are doing very nicely. Others currently entwined in the system are not progressing, wonder why. Ex riders in it for the money and offering nothing to the boys. Back to basics and stop interfering in their development by money hungry has been and never were good riders and poor system.

The sport which has the most offers and offers them continuing employment is football. Yet every week people pay to watch rapists, drug cheats, wife beaters who steal a living through the sport.

Pelters is an informal Scottish term that refers to criticism or verbal abuse. It is a plural noun. Pelter, on the other hand is a noun that refers to a person who pelts. A shower of missiles, rain, anger, etc. It can also refer to a pinchpenny, a mean , sordid person, a miser, or skinflint. So which pelters you handing out? Or are you a pelter, a mean sordid person

What is the point in The British Speedway Website publishing the fixtures of the NJL and squad selections and then no results? Shame on your attempts move forward and actually help promote the youngsters. -
What an utter shambles and disgrace TEAM GB are! Brennan leaving before the last ride is disgraceful. To represent your country is the ultimate aim of any sports person and to let the country down is disgraceful to say the least. Inept management in every respect of team selection and the reasons behind selection. Pitiful display by who some regard as our future super star rising stars

Any chance someone can post the results of meetings on here please? The riders and everyone concerned with running the NJL deserve credit and results to be published in recognition of their efforts. -
I think everyone on here should cast their minds back several years ago to a certain incident involving 3 young riders and what they allegedly did to a young lady. Who bailed them, who paid monies to certain parties to keep the alleged incident quiet and where are they now?

Birmingham v Leicester 15th April 2024
secsy1 replied to StephenMiller's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
One of the main problems in speedway is that every supposed speedway star or former one thinks they know everything and everyone and covers each others backs to make a living. Sclime and worral are 2 of the biggest culprits, scankin the British Youth system and teaching kids how to blow up engines and ride crap. Ex riders who cannot make a living after speedway conning promoters into thinking they know better. Until Speedway wakes up and realises these people are holding the sport back and conning a living for jack -

By law, employers can be held vicariously liable for certain acts of their employees. This means even where the employer has itself done no wrong, it can still be found responsible for employees actions and made to financially compensate the victim/victims of the wrong doing. -

Plan B allows 4 riders in each race and the punishment is for the team as one of them, knowingly or unfortunately has caused the problem. If you do not punish the rider and the team then their is no accountability. I sincerely hope that all becomes clear and the laboratory tests clear the rider. -

A superb answer to silly question, it just shows how divided and how silly some people are. Do not think anyone has answered a question on how to ensure 4 riders in each race after imposing a ban. Well the offending team should be punished due to one of their riders failing the drug test. They are employing each rider and are accountable for everyone of them and should randomly do drug testing of the team to ensure compliance. Rider contracts should include details of random drug testing and a caveat that if they are banned then all testing and appeals are at the riders expense. Plan B If any test from the randomly chosen riders is non negative then the offending team has to comply with the new regulations. 1. A heat leader can replace any drug test related banned rider once during the course of the meeting, going off 30 metre distance behind the tapes. 2. A second string rider can replace any drug test related banned rider once during the course of the meeting, going off 20 metre distance behind the tapes. 3. A reserve rider can replace any drug test related banned rider twice during the course of the meeting, going off 10 metre distance behind the tapes. Maybe this is not the best answer but at least a start. -
So you are one of the Lemony snicket lickers and a to boost. If it is Amateur Level then we are being robbed, it should be free It does not matter where I sat, if you have a bad back a like you will not mind paying for 2 seats then. Wolverhampton has closed unfortunately Well if you understand half of the garbage that comes out of a horses mouth well good for you, 99.9% can not understand horse talk

It is far too easy for most posters to iron over the problems and make excuses instead of addressing them. Or even asking what a problem is when they already know the answer Surely after the down pour it would have been advisable to scrape the top off and tyre pack the track from the start. No messing around or problems and as long as the announcer tells everyone what is going on they can understand and appreciate the problem. It was a poor advert for speedway and anyone new visiting speedway for the first time would be put off. A dying sport and this is partially the reason why and with fans up their own backsides defending mediocrity how can it survive. I am done with Belle Vue Speedway after many years as a visiting fan, never again.

If you do not know what was the problem with the start marshals then maybe speedway is not for you. Speedway does have rules and if the fools officiating are not aware of them they should not be in the position to officiate. The start marshal shall raise a red flag when the red lights come on. Riders disqualified under the 2 minute rule are eligible to be re instated going off 15 metres, not from the tapes. Pity that the clerk of the course had to come out of the pits to instruct them what to do. Even last year 3 lap and 5 lap races. Criticism is constructive if it is listened to and observed. This was a perfect opportunity for riders to learn, but instead decided by most to be throttle jockeys with the consequences. Credit to the riders who actually tried in difficult circumstances, but others need to take a long hard look at themselves and ask themselves do I really want to do this!
