Thank you for the time you applied replying with some information. It isn't a big problem keeping the fans informed, but it appears to be forgotten most of the time. By keeping the fans up to date, help to promote the club, especially in these difficult times. Probably you could continue in this role of keeping the fans up to date... You seem to be in the know of most situations. I thank you again.....

Lets gets one thing straight , I am not on anything. All my ideas and fears are well founded. Supporters need to feel part of the club and their opinions valued. Never have I mentioned swapping Holder or Batch for lesser riders as you have named, what I have said is we only want riders who want to ride of the Stars... and I stand by that. IF Holder don't want to ride then we need to move on..... The night in question is one to forget. Yes, we need to move on, but there so many things to put right before we can. Management of these situations, Communication with the fans, and Leadership in times of crisis. are just a few problems highlighted from that wretched night. It all very well fans saying sweep it under the carpet and move on , but what's to say it won't happen again. The treatment of the fans that night was terribly. threating like Mushrooms with so much contempt, I read, was about the right description. We are now 2 week gone and still we wait to hear the reasons why, What went wrong that night with track preparation? Why was last two meetings cancelled ? Has the track problems been sorted? How long is Rose going to be out injured? Is Porsing back for good or is the situation Porsing or Rose? Is Lamberts injury responding to treatment, When does Holders ban finished? are just some bits of information that could be aired And you say there's no news to tell ........ Confucius once said, 'there are non so numb as those who bury their heads'
-
And you honestly believe that.!!!! If there is no news to report then we have no replacements lined up, We have no new riders before the deadline, we have no development taking place, in fact we have done nothing to report,,,,, You go and make some up... You obviously thinks its funny.......
-
As like so many other occassions the fans are left waiting, wondering what the future holds. With the introduction of this new ruling of a deadline for signing riders by 29th July, I would have thought it would warrant some information about the Holder situation. We hear plenty of talk of him not riding again, he has obviously upset lots of people by his actions, but if he refuses to ride for the Stars, are we still allow to get a replacement after that date ???.. If we had any ideas of the Play-Offs, our forward thinking Promoter would have covered Chris's absence with a short term replacement. The fact that they didn't, does this mean he will be back? Has the club lined up a replacement ? Again more questions and no answers... and you wonder why the fans turn away...

King's Lynn Vs Wolverhampton 26/7/2017
g13webb replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We are of totally different views of track preparation. I was under the impression, the state of the track was according to the amount of shale that was on it. A 'Slick' track has very little dirt on it where as a 'Grippy' track has loads of dirt. It has nothing to do with how wet the shale is. Water is only used to keep the dust down and to help Bond the shale. If you are trying to tell me that you have to water the track to make it sticky/tacky , then I am at a loss of explanation... Because that don't make sense.,, You seem to have dig at everyone who voices an opinion against Lynn, but let me tell you there is no bigger supporter than I . I have the utmost respect for Buster and what he has achieved, but not since being promoted to Chairman/ BSPA. The Lynn Stars have suffered big time. Where once he had the finger on the pulse, now its comes across as it'll do exercise. He has passed responsibility to others but still wants total control... My argument is not aimed at anyone in particular, but for the sustainability Speedway at Kings Lynn. I appreciated Buster's dilemma, but you cant go cancelling meetings if and when he wants on the pretence of the track being iffy. Keep doing that and there will be no sport. The fans wont bother to go anymore, the riders won't want to sign and the opposition will be so p--ssed Off. We need a track that is rideable in these adverse conditions, We want assurance the riders are able to race at every meeting. and if that means getting new shale then so be it. What we are experiencing at present is a remedy for disaster . Yes, we need to move on, but not before we learn from the problems we have, and be assured it won't happen again.... Brushing it under the carpet is a fool's way of thinking.... -

As per normal you only read what you think I said. I actually pointed out as a 'Layman' and my workings with CLAY , Not Clay shale!! was that when it became wet it becomes sticky and Sodden. Whether you agree or not , that is fact. I am not aware of how long its been used at Lynn, so I am unable to comment on it ever being any good. What I do know is, as a spectator our track has become dire and offers little or no overtaking where most races becomes processional. All the excitement has gone and only the diehard fans keep coming. It is little wonder fans are staying away. Now, if by using the wrong shale, has something to do with these track problems, then it needs to be addressed. -

Cant help thinking, everyone is missing the point here. As an old supporter I can say, we have been privileged to have watched exciting speedway on a brilliant track. Unfortunately them days are long gone... Each and everyone of us have moaned in our time, of the way the track has evolved into a 'gate-go' exercise, where a good gate is enough to ensure a win. Gone are the days when fans wanted their Star riders to miss the gate to initiate brilliant rides from the back. What we have in these recent years is a shadow of the exciting sport it once was. The match against Poole the track was poor. In each of the first 5 Gate / Go races at least 1 rider pulled up. When the track got wet, it became more difficult to race. Heat 6 we had the multi crash where 3 came off. highlighting the difficulty the riders faced. I'm not condoning some riders actions, but this situation of them and us should never have happened.. Its all very well Buster posting all the blame on some riders but he must shoulder part of the blame as well. The whole situation was badly managed, leadership was non-existent and where personalities were the governing factor.. The British weather can never be relied upon to be comply with our wishes, so to me it is paramount the track has to be prepared so that it's racable in adverse conditions. Not being a professional trackman, I don't know of all the workings needed or available to produce the ideal raceway, But over the years I watched tractors going round and round, so don't imagine it's too difficult, especially when all the equipment needed is on hand.. Recently, we hear talk that we are using 'Clay based Shale' From a layman, my experience with clay would be a big NO-NO. As soon as Clay become wet it becomes very sticky and sodden, the worse possible covering a race rack would ever want. Once wet it takes forever to dry... We need to get back to the old days when Fans and Riders would come Saddlebow Road and be confident the place would provide the platform they require. and the happenings of two weeks back would never have existed . Probably then the fans would return in the numbers we once enjoyed.... -
I heard something similar from a steward after talking with a track grader, in that. the new shale laid over the old didn't bond. When the bikes slid over it separated instead of bonding. Hopefully a one off problem that won't raise it head again..... Anybody watching could see there were problems with the track, even the Ref had he been interested. But that doesn't condone those who walked out...

That's a fair comment, but there 2 sides to that. Would you expect the fans to come if riders continued to perform badly. Batchelor, when riding for Swindon, the previous week, he scored 10 from his 4 rides against a much stronger Leicester side that fielded both Nilsson and Przedpelski. Last night in his 5 rides, he only beat someone in only one of those rides. Clearly no where near as efficient as he was previously. It wasn't as much the points, but the lack of determination, Had he rode last week with the same determination then Swindon would have lost also. How many more performances like that would you suggest is OK ??? Batchelor is really pi**ing the fans off, and while Buster does nothing, will only do the same... If Buster wants to keep him then I suggest his contract is changed to a point basis only...

Leicester Lions V Kings Lynn Stars 24 Jul 2017
g13webb replied to Robbobee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I was thinking of getting someone in on the last day of July, not realising we would need to release Batch at the same time. He obviously wants out to go elsewhere, I thought retaining him till the cut off date would mess his plans, not realising it messes our as well. -
Where's DWP ??? We still need plenty of answers. Reading your recent replies it appears Porsing is coming back Wednesday to ride at reserve, so that's assuming as a replacement for Rose. Jorgensen will then retain his team place on merit. So would it be possible to co-op MPT into the squad as a 28 day replacement for Holder. ?? We don't need big names on the score sheet, we need riders who are dedicated to the cause, and put the Stars first. Batch proved last night his heart is not in it anymore. Last year the team carried him with his poor form, and this is his way of thanks.... For sanity to return to this club He has to be replaced...

Leicester Lions V Kings Lynn Stars 24 Jul 2017
g13webb replied to Robbobee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Last nights result was not important. Pleased that Leicester managed to get a win for a change. especially after all the bad luck they have had. What was important was the way the team performed as a united front, so in that way it wasn't too bad. It highlighted the riders who tried, it showed up them who are out of their depth, those who are still injured, but also the one who wasn't bothered... Jorgensen is such a massive find, one we have to hang on to. Huckenbeck is here to stay, those two performed as good or better than I imagined. MPT is another rider I always have time for and gives 110%everytime. But we have to stop finding excuses as why Batch performed so badly. His scores last night were an embarrassment for No1 rider. He knew the score of everything he did. The team needed him to perform, but again he let everyone down last night . We have to assume another lost on Wednesday when we play Wolves, but once August gets here we can then drop Batchelor for good, when it will be too late to ride for someone else.. I've got no time for people who aren't HONEST, with themselves or with the supporters. They don't serve a purpose... -
Good call. Colin's been about along time and knows the ropes. Didn't realise he was up for the job though . Only hope Buster and him get along without confrontation .

Chris Holder ! :- Friend Or Foe
g13webb replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There is no argument. Chris let the fans down, he let the sport down, in fact he let everyone down. Now if you can see that as correct , then you and him, must be so self-righteous in your outlook on life,,, -
I believe you would be an ideal candidate for a KLS PR man. You have told us more in 1 message than we have heard in 2 weeks.....

Chris Holder ! :- Friend Or Foe
g13webb replied to g13webb's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No body was asking Chris to do anything, all the other riders were not doing. I appreciated the track wasn't good, but it was rideable if not racable. All the other riders were prepared to try and this is where his argument falls down. Watching the Under 21 World Final yesterday the track was a disgrace, there where accidents where just waiting to happen. Ruts in the corners were making it extremely dangerous. The racing was rubbish, but everyone of the riders were prepared to give it a go. Chris has to realise that the support from the fans pay for people like Chris to pursue his chosen life. If there were more riders withholding their services everytime a track was bad, there would be no fans left, and no sport to follow. Nobody has benefitted from Chris's actions. All it has none is created tension at his Club, Damaged the integrity of the sport , Destroyed a Race meeting single handedly, Pissed off some of the few fans we have left. and got himself banned for a month.. To those people who have come out and supported his actions , I suggest you smell the Coffee... -
Leicester Lions V Kings Lynn Stars 24 Jul 2017
g13webb replied to Robbobee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The result tonight is not important. There will be far more people focused on the togetherness of the team and putting on a united front. Fans are expected to pay the admission fees to watch a competitive match and that has to come first. If Kings Lynn Stars can't do that, then it could signal the final throw of the dice. It is worrying that in these troubled times, information is still not forthcoming. We are a team where the TM is ill; , We have 2 riders out injured, We have a rider banned and a Promoter gone AWOL. It's as if the bosses don't want the fans to know anything. Is it too much to expect basic information about the meeting tonight..???.. Can it get any worse than this????? -
World Under 21 Championship 2017 Live On Tv
g13webb replied to moomin man 76's topic in International World of Speedway
As expected Poland uses the meeting to show off their new riders, we have never heard off and will conquer all. Such is their production line. I think I'm right when saying 5 out of the last 6 U21 World Champions' have been Polish. Drabik fits the post to a tee. Exceptionally quick, makes every gate and made everyone else look second best... When you consider the state of the track and the lack of racing this chap was special. You just knew he was going to win such was his persona and air of invincibility. -
Janowski Or Doyle For 2017 World Champion,
g13webb replied to Col's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Like you say its beginning to look like a 3 horse race. 17points further back is 4th and that a whole meeting's worth. I feel for Doyle who should be the current World Champion had it not been for unfortunate accidents and injuries. Nobody deserves to win it more than Doyle for consistency he has shown but I have this niggle that too many fall offs could strike him again. He's carrying two injuries at present. Will this be his downfall?? I hope not....... At the start of the year I picked out Dudek and Smarzlik as two riders who can mix it with the best. Both are incredibly quick Poles who are both more than capable of winning any race. I think they are both doing exceptionally well but I feel this year might be to soon. After his second SGP win of the season Janowski has really come to the fore. So wonderfully talented and still so grounded. He does everything so precise. His smooth style and electric starts, don't faulter even when under immense pressure . When I had the privilege of watching him ride for Lynn. He had incredible ability and simple oozed natural talent and speed. Even though only a young lad he portrayed all the makings of a champion then..... I don't think you need to look elsewhere for this years World Champion.... -

Are you actually watching it, The interviewer asked Lambert is their interview, also Emerlenco and the other commentator were discussing it at length , I was NOT wrong , so please when you query as you did, I suggest you take on board all the contents of the post and not automatically think I'm talking rubbish I often think that of things you say, but reframe from contradicting as It only creates bad feelings.... -

It appears Holder's 28 day ban and the state of the Lynn track, is the topic of all interviews and conversation at Poznan. -
Time is moving on , and as usual we hear nothing. We are suppose to ride at Leicester on Monday night, no doubt that's another secret......
-
JC was the one person able to argue the point with Buster, most people shy away. JC would be able to highlight areas that Buster not even aware of and address the problems... No JC don't drive the tractor, but he knows when a track is good or bad...
-
Having always been a Janowski admirer , it is no surprise to me that this year he is the real deal. No fancy flights or Primadonna, Magic does everything right, A credit to himself and the sport.... Worth a bet to be World Champion 2017........
-
We have many similar feelings. Like you, I believe the management side needs a major overhaul. It is possible, that this inept management, actually created the situation last week.. I think it's wrong, you label Lambert and Huckenbeck in the same group as the two Aussies, they were being easily led when we had no leaders. They were in a no-win situation. At least they did continue when the track work had finished, which is more than the other 2 did. But saying that, from reading his media messages, I don't think Lambert is completely happy riding for the Stars this year.... The fact, Buster is the Chairman of the BSPA proves he is no fool, But if he doesn't realise how severe the Lynn problem is, he is not as sharp as I took him to be. His only hope is to get JC on board, I cant think of anybody else able enough to fill all those vacancies: Promoter; General Manager; Team Manager; PR man; Mic man, General Dogsbody.
