  1. That was always my understanding too. Tsunami will know
  2. My memory, in Anders case, was that he was to change into clean kevlars in the pits prior to the podium presentation. But having removed the dirty ones found his clean kevlars had already been already taken out to the centre of the track by someone. He then went out on his bike in his undercrackers and suited up on the back of the podium. There may be variatiions on this. I don't think any of that spolied the series sponsors 'exposure'.
  3. Yes he only rode about three matches and didn't set the world alight with his scoring but did look real class. Blooded into probably the last Tyne-Tees Trophy that really seemed to matter with the Diamonds rolling over the Bears easily. 1991 and 1992 were special times. And I always thought that Richard Bailey was a very underrated Promoter.
  4. Clue No 1: This track had a league side for many post war years up to the seventies.
  5. We are getting a bit random now. But no not Stoke or Norwich.
  6. Not Swindon nor Hackney. I can so see why those were thought of; it does look as if the stand were developed and 'filled in' a bit it could be either. But not so.
  7. They did but they were far from alone. Cradley Heath and Halifax had team leathers in the early seventies
  8. Doug Wyer Just realised this is the Guess where? thread. So Scunthorpe ?
  9. Cleveland Park it is ... my next one with be more difficult ... I hope
  10. I 'm finding it quite difficult coming up with challenging images.
  11. I'm assuming it's Carmarthen as that is the name of the image. Or is it a double-bluff and I've just fallen for it ?
  12. The jury didn't have to do anything ! That's the best he can come up with. What a good neighbour Krzysztof must be ... "I saw your house being burgled but I didn't phone the police or do anything 'because I didn't have to'" With him in your corner everything is fine with the world.
  13. I think he expected to win it last night and it would be beneficial to him and his sponsors to be wearing his Orlen suit when he did so. After practice he hid behind the excuse that he only had that race suit with him so would have to wear it in the meeting. That was all part of the plan. He took a calculated risk that, with the race suit designs being really quite similar, the Speedway authorities would not have the bottle to enforce the regulations. He miscalculated.
  14. We will end up finding out why the decision was made at the time it was.
