  1. If Richard Lawson was riding, No way Cook would have scored 14.
  2. A great day for the Panthers, On the verge of qualification! Ipswich have just been pummeled by the brute of Len Silver's Rye House Rockets.
  3. Ipswich Witches semi-final hopes have been dealt a hammer blow as they look like going down at Rye House, This would leave the Witches on 13 points and with only a trip to Somerset left where they could be required to get a point in order to stop Somerset taking their 2nd spot which could be vital as Group C's runner up might qualify as best runner up. There will be anger in the Witches camp, mainly aimed at the performances of Rohan Tungate and Cameron Heeps, Once labelled as Ipswich's very own "turbo twins" but have instead today performed as the "chuckle brothers".
  4. Because Pete is and always will be the team manager. It's a bit like Alex Ferguson and United, The legacy Pete has built will remain for decades.
  5. A must win for Ipswich, Pete Simmons will have the lads fired up no doubt. A win would sensationally take them back to the top of Group C ahead of the much superior Peterborough Panthers so that would be an extra bonus for the Witches fans.
  6. Thanks for that, I've amended the original post. Tonight's defeat for Somerset has left their hopes hanging by a thread, The maximum they can reach is 14 points with two maximum home wins against Ipswich and Rye House but with the Witches on 13 and the Panthers on 14, It looks like they are firm outsiders. The Panthers meanwhile have to visit Rye House where they have already been giving a hammering along with a very tough Plymouth side that is rejuvenated with the form of Kyle Newman.
  7. Group A: Edinburgh (Confirmed) Group B: Sheffield (Confirmed) Group C: Peterborough with 14 points from 6 matches (Plymouth and Rye House away) Ipswich with 13 points from 6 matches (Rye House and Somerset away) Somerset with 8 points from 6 matches (Rye House and Ipswich home) Plymouth Eliminated Rye House Eliminated Best Runner Up? Group A: Group B: Redcar with 11 points from 6 matches come in at a rate of 1.83 So Edinburgh and Sheffield are both in the Semi-Finals and It's between the rest for the last two spots but the East Anglia clubs on paper look the favorites for Group C but Somerset have two home matches in the bank which could take their total to 14. Redcar have finished their league cup programme and end up in a runner-up position with their all important points per game rate being at 1.83 but they will be hoping for other results from Group A and C to go their way in order to qualify. Who's going to reach the Semi-Finals of this enthralling prestigious competition?
  8. It's a decent side but better than this? Stal Gorzow - 2012 Tomasz Gollob Michael Jepsen Jensen Matej Zagar Niels Kristian Iversen Krzysztof Kasprzak Adrian Cyfer Bartosz Zmarzlik
  9. This will be a tighter affair I feel as the Witches will be out to prove that they aren't as bad as they look on paper. But the Panthers are simply just too strong in the crucial areas, Dryml, Ulrich, Lasse and Bach is like having four number 1's and Blackbird is riding like a 2nd heat-leader at the moment. Going for 53-39 with the Witches showing a bit of fight but ultimately the better side coming out on top.
  10. Our top 5 proved today why they are the most feared in world speedway and that was with Fisher and Dryml not being at their usual high standards, Torun's top 5 might have a better reputation but I certainly wouldn't swap it for this current Panthers five. I did and I watched our wonderful top dive dominate the Witches from start to finish, The Witches were only delaying the inevitable early on and looking at my programme , I couldn't see a single heat where the Witches were stronger. Like I said earlier, This was an Elite League club riding against a Premier League club and it showed, Not the best meeting by a long mile but a very healthy crowd I must say (2000+ certainly) but sadly for them, the majority went home disappointed after watching a dominating Panthers display. Hope the Witches enjoy tonight, We could even race up to 60.
  11. 2 years ago, We had Michael Jepsen Jensen at reserve for Good Friday. Now we have Ales Dryml as a heat-leader. Saddens me to see how far we have fallen, It's similar to Leeds United. I'm off to get drunk to try and forget this happening.
  12. Thanks but I've gone for the 12.35, Will grab a bite to eat from The George and Dragon before heading to the stadium. I went there last time and the food might be pricey but It's out of this world.
  13. How long does it take to get from Ipswich train station to the track, Is arriving in Ipswich at 1.28 cutting it a bit fine? Should I book the 12.35 arrival just in case?
  14. Sending these deluded Ipswich fans back home with no points and a hammering is going to be fun. Our Top 5 are all heat-leaders, Your's is made up of PL 2nd strings like Risager, Heeps and Tungate.
  15. If Fisher goes back to the USA, Who should we sign as our number 1? My shortlist 1. Michael Jepsen Jensen 2. Thomas H Jonasson 3. Mikkel Bech Jensen
  16. Letting Lasse Bjerre go was one of Ipswich's biggest mistakes. Persisting with the likes of Lanham, Risager, Heeps and Tungate over the exciting 'pocket rocket' was a shoddy decision.
  17. 1. Ryan Fisher 2. Lewis Blackbird 3. Ales Dryml 4. Ulrich Oostergaard 5. Lasse Bjerre That Top 5 is going to score 50+ at Foxhall, the Witches fans are going to be left in a desolate state.
  18. Does anybody know how the League cup format works? Does only 1 team go through from each group? If so, We really need to win at Ipswich.
  19. Doesn't matter who's asset he is, He belongs to the Panthers now. Once your a Panther, there's no going back.
  20. Dakota North: Currently you have a club in the British Isles. Peterborough Panthers, your previous employer, withdrew from the Elite League "This is a huge problem for me because I wanted to continue to compete this year in the Peterborough Panthers in the Elite League competitions. So far I do not have a contract in the UK. If I fail to find a club competition at the highest level, it does not show up in the UK. The problem with the Peterborough occurred so late that it was difficult to find a place in another team. Remains for me to wait for the start of league and I will try for a place in any other team. We know that during the season the club comes to the number of injuries and changes" Feel so bad for Dak, We need to offer him a spot in the PL to make up for the shoddy way we have treated him, What about this side? 1. Ales Dryml 2. Jesper B Monberg 3. Ulrich Ostergaard 4. Dakota North 5. Lasse Bjerre 6. Lewis Blackbird 7. Joe Jacobs
  21. Doesn't matter If you had Worrall and Ellis. You were going to get beaten regardless.
