  1. Would think it is extremely difficult to stop with the number of people who use mobile phones at meetings. The person or people doing it just need to move around. Nothing wrong with showing the odd heat.
  2. Quite a few will want to travel to Somerset along with at least 3 or 4 riders who are due to ride there.
  3. Has anyone got any news on how the Supporters AGM and meeting went last night. Who was the attending rider etc and what questions were asked.
  4. Saw a few races from meetings last season, not too concerned about the quality, would rather see them than nothing.
  5. Yes, with tongue in cheek, as this year they are running on the fri and sat, a sensible idea, which is probably better for the fans rather than in the past where there has been a gap from thurs to sat.
  6. Seems to be a good idea, it is a shame they do not do the same with the SWC and run the semi and final on the same weekend. Fans can attend individual meetings or spend a whole weekend being with and enjoying festivities with other speedway fans. Just hope the weather is good.
  7. Agree, have always flown back on the monday which also means a full day and night out in the venue town or city.
  8. There is nothing in the first post about having to use a FTR. you build the team to your interpretation of the rules signed M Ford
  9. Apparently in the past more people have been complaining about the speaker system from the dogs than the noise from the speedway, probably due to the number of days of the week they run. Not sure if the same number of fans from Swindon who attend would travel to Highworth for every meeting, even more might pick and choose the meetings they attend than did last year.
  10. Unless they have moved the position of the new one it does, so cannot see a mid season move.
  11. Latest news http://swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2620.1
  12. New stadium latest update http://swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2620.1 Will keep an eye on the planning meetings to see if anything positive happens.
  13. That is correct, but best to try and avoid any missing riders. At the moment Rosco has stated that he should only be missing for a couple of meetings.
  14. The early meeting on the 25th is probably taking account of the meeting at Somerset as we have Josh and Charles and Stefan who could be there.
  15. Fixtures released with an away meeting at Somerset on March 18th followed by home and away EL meetings against Poole on 25th and 27th, so no challenge at Swindon before season starts. http://www.swindonrobins.co/fixtures16.php
  16. Leicester are looking to sign his cousin Foo-Kin Yus-less
  17. It may have been that certain riders told DH that they would not sign for them while the track was the shape it was.
  18. And which national newspapers would bother reporting it, the same as those who report the speedway results each day ?
  19. The additional money comes from the building of the houses over the 200 allowed before the stadium must be built, the total number of planned houses of 450 which may be increased now that the developer is asking for a reduction in the size of the industrial area, not from the running of the stadium. I will accept that the council has been to trusting in allowing the building of 200 houses before a start on the stadium should have been made, the number should have been lower.
  20. Build the stadium and make £30 to £40 million, providing the council stick to the present conditions which will allow them to build and sell more houses only when the stadium is built.
  21. Not at the moment they are not. They are not allowed to knock down the stadium until the new one is built or build more than I think 200 houses. Unfortunately it is a waiting game.
  22. Yes see picture of it below The new one is in the bottom left corner of this picture between the current stadium, bend 1, and the slip road from the dual carriageway to the bridge.
