And of course how Great it was for Brum in the PL ...it can't be long before someone says that World class riders beat the other riders by half a lap at El level in every race ...the myths and half truths are still coming at rapid speed I see .

Seen plenty of teams go bust in the PL over the years .... ..the bottom line is most clubs go bust etc because they are badly run not what league they are in . the bit about brum always makes me laugh ....people always tend to forget the amount of money patch lost while he ran pl speedway there and Don't forget Newport etc Come on ...your be telling me next Gazza's face was not on that piece of toast next .

As had been said a million times when you on anyone else comes with a format using the squad system that would work let's us all know ..intill then

Virtually impossible you could make up tons of match up's between El v Pl that not be affected by doubling up rules .or riders . Swindon for example could take on every team in the pl bar 4 for a start so hardly impossible .

There is massive gap most El teams at full strength would still beat most pl teams by 15 to 20 points .

Is it ? I doubt it, he will be back very soon ......before he makes up another reason why it went wrong and all suckers get taken in by it again .

Why would Swindon drop out ?

Not at all it's all about what crowds you get in to what kind of riders you can get ....The pl crowds this year has been poor this year from what the fans have been saying .. just because put out a cheap team is does mean your going to balance the books . Poole are one of the biggest payers out there but are still one of the only teams who make money . As for Tai when did anyone say it was about the money ? I thought it was common knowledge it was because to many meetings etc why he skipped the uk so it gave him a better chance of being world champion . one day fans will wake up and understand that speedway has problems full stop rather than living in this dream world that the pl and cheap sides is the way forward and crowds will flock to see them .

First all of everyone on here can have an opinion that is what the forum is for . I am sure I have never seen anyone on here say that speedway is in a good state and we all know it has massive problems and is fighting to stay alive . But not sure why we should accept any reason put forward why it is in a bad state like saying it's because the race format is complex when it's clear when the crowds were massive when it was more complex . Do you really expect people except that there is a joker used at Cardiff in on that that is somehow harder to fill in a scorecard etc these days ...if people are going to say things like that on a forum people quite rightly are not going to accept that .

As I said Speedway has always had stupid rules even when the crowds were good ...the point being talk about was people saying that one double ride is complex ...in the old days when crowds were massive you could 4 or 5 ts including two in the same race so the race format now if anything is less complex .

There is one tac sub now in league racing and using double points once is hardly rocket science compared to other sports ...when crowds were massive speedway had most of the rules it has today .

Of course there are many factors that may help bring in a crowd . But the fact is if during the day if people find out number one is or such like is replaced by say a six point pl rider then it will have an effect on the crowd .

Of course the Pl and Nl have star riders ...The fans at that level would look at Cook as one of the stars and they would apply to the best riders at Nl ...of course if you start replacing Cook with a junior the % in the drop of crowd levels would be the same .

Yet again you show little understanding of modern sport on the modern fan ....people sadly are fickle in this day and age and your logic that you go every week no matter who is riding cuts no ice when it comes to trying to balance the books . Next week Swindon will ride cov and under the rules really should not get a guest for Killer meaing a pl rider should take his place ...what of course that's would mean is about 150 -300 of these fickle fans you go on about are unlikely to turn up meaning a large amount of money will be lost . of course in your world and using your logic the crowd will be the same .

No problem ..I would love to see a squad system and rules being stuck to rather than guests and rules being broken but you have to get the balance right with the understanding that people who run speedway clubs have to at least break even . Sadly we got people who think the same amount people will still turn no matter who is riding or don't understand that Speedway is a business as well as a sport .

Yet again a post will little idea about the money side of the sport ....the moment you tell people stokes is replacing puk the crowd will drop no doubt below the break even figure the side then gets beat meaning less come the next week wtc ...see this is another problem with die hards who just think people turn up week in week out no matter who is riding because they do .

And of course they would affect the crowd numbers ..I guess when it's not your money it's not a big deal ...this is the trouble with speedway you have to find a balance of having rules while keeping the crowd numbers up ..it's not easy and as I said no one found the answer when it comes to squad systems .
