Must have missed it but did Lawrence keep Batch in the race where he knock a rider off . also did he let a result stand when quite clearly the tapes went up quicker on one side before asking for a re run when the tapes done the same a couple of races later .

Not just because we won but tonight was a very good meeting . Every time Kl it's a good one and they were really good value . Wish we had the side we track tracked tonight every week and we must regret letting Hans go now . For Kl Puk gave 110 % and was involved in some great racing and You can see in Lambert a massive improvement even from last year . the biggest worried for kl is of course Kenny who just gives up if he does not make the gate ...not sure what is going on with him

w 2 crashes one because a rider could not hold on to his bike and a issue in 12 heats wow ...amazing that the track only dangerous after 12 heats when no one could get a refund and riders got paid

Batch and Holder was injured and that is the main reason they fell off ..who else bar them also fell off on this so called dangerous track like Puk was saying .. Harris said the track was not raceable ? well I watched the last few heats and people were racing and passing . Zagar was happy for it to end I bet he was ££££

I guess what suits Poole best .

I think they used the PL averages and Wright's was higher than Newman's ...of course this made Newman the number 5 seed in the draft rather than the number 1 giving Poole a better pick in the second round .

This is a good point ..as I said I was watching it on Sky plus and pushing the fast forward between heats ...after heat 12 and as I kept the x 30 on I wonder why the next heat was not going on . Never did I think for a moment that the meeting might be called on because of the track

Sky + the meeting and avoided the result ....Was looking forward to watching it this morning only to see a complete joke of a meeting from start to finish . The track was poor and the tapes and green light starts were a joke . As others have said I have seen far worst one off tracks with ruts in them and the riders have just got on with it . Harris etc were not only able to ride it but race on it so not sure why they called it off . Also Jim Lawrence to me is the worst Ref out there so not sure why he getting gigs like this .

Some good points on here ....and ones that shows how hard it is to run Speedway in the uk .....The balance between trying to stick to the rules and make sure a good crowd comes in is a tricky one ... on one hand we don't want AJ to take the mickey and maybe he should be replaced by a pl 6 point rider but if that happens thou Wolves might get a easy win it will no doubt have an effect on there crowd and I would say that Wolves would rather face Lakeside with Doyle as money must come first . I guess we are going to have to wait intill what AJ Does before we send the lynch mob in thou .

To me your either injury or your not ...the bit I don't understand is why Lakeside did not wait intill Monday morning ? Just say Aj injured and Doyle going to replace him , then no one bats a eyelid rather than doing it this way and people pointing fingers .

Would have to say for some reason Cricket has more good commenters than other sports thou I guess it could be because you can have 8 or 9 nine per match ....my favourites are Lloyd and Holding thou it's not always when there talking about cricket I just find them good to listen to ...the one I hate is Mark Nicholas he just come's across as so false and ott .

Don't really see that ... the concern of anyone running a speedway team is that the money side is sorted first even before start thinking about winning or losing ....I doubt any home promoter is going to happy about a side missing two of it's star riders when they visit unless it's at the tail end of season when you have to win to get into the play offs .

Very true before you know it Football teams will be loaning players to other clubs and teams will have 6 loan players in the same side ..the Media would just walk away .Who does that Frank Lampard bloke play for ? The New York red city blues . Due to when they can used the stadiums the country does not have the choice on how it's runs the sport as it's hands and tied on many things unlike Sweden ,Poland etc

Things only tend to move on when people find a solution to something or comes up with something better . As has been said so far after 50 odd years no one has come up with anything better than the guest rule . The point was made that speedway does nor deserve media coverage because of guests, the first point of course is that we been using them when the sport had plenty of media coverage and the second is do we really think they will come back if we never ? I doubt it . I cant remember Rory guesting seven days in a row as you said he did ...the bottom line is thou guests are no doubt used more now unless you or anyone can come up with a better idea that's work in uk speedway in it's current state then there is no point in moaning about it .

As I have already said we had this rule when the crowds were big and there were sponsors and the sport had plenty of Credibility ....Would it Bollox ? when quite clearly it did .No one cared if a rider rode for seven different teams seven nights a week so why should they now ?
