KK - wont see which way Doyle goes if Doyle leads him Newman - hasnt improved at all while at Poole as his average and the fact he has been at reserve prove. But a trier and would be in my team Kurtz- let Poole down hugely last season dropping to reserve. Needs to improve. Holder - could improve just like Ellis did.........but will get released like Ellis if his average doesnt fit Hans - in decline as you would expect at his age but solid enough Klindt - ridiculed by Poole fans........now the bargain of the season as he is a Pirate. Shanes - any points he gets will be a bonus. You can easily look at the Poole teams both ways but the way some Poole fans 'big' it up i just wonder if they will choke like last season
-
laughable and incorrect but you carry on all the way to march your spot on mate he never does he sees things as a true fan not blinkered like the 3 stooges So Joonas ended up on 6.68 and Tai 7.03?? Joonas scored 10 at Poole and Tai got 7. Poole would have lost by more if Joonas rode
-
But yet you still fail to acknowledge it made little difference at all....quite bizarre You are 100% correct No in the second leg of the semi final your number one failed to win a race Buck and Kurtz scored 1 between them Yet you still lost by the same as in the league meeting........hmmm those sour grapes just keep getting sourer Again 100% spot on. It is the usual Poole fans who cant see the bigger picture
-
You talk absolute tosh at times! By the end of the season the difference between Joonas average and Tai's was 0.3 hardly earth shattering! Also when Poole were at home to Wolves Tai scored 7. In the league fixture Joonas got 10+1. Luckily for Poole or they would have been beat by a bigger margin in the semis if Joonas was riding!! Oh and against Belle Vue in the final: Tai 8+2 (riding at number 4) Masters 8 (riding at number 5) And against them in the league: Masters 13 (riding at number 4) Joonas 7+2 (riding at number 5) So even in the final Wolves were weaker at home then they were in the league. So please tell me how they only won because of Tai, because you make no sense spot on..........always good to see a Poole fan who knows what they are talking about and actually checks the facts
-
But as you Poole fans say Matt Ford will do what is right by Poole. If Newman improves his average by some way then he will be shown the door next season if his average doesnt fit. Young Holder could have a good future but to say he will be a third heat leader no problem is possibly over stretching it. Brady last season was supposed to be pulling up trees but ended up at reserve at times. To much pressure being put on Holder already by the Poole fans. And if Klindt moves up and Kyle goes to reserve then that can make Poole weaker as you wouldnt expect Klindt to score well in the top 5. For example if Klindt gets 10 from 5 at reserve and Newman 6 from 4 riding at number 4 , then thats 16 from those 2 riders. Kyle would still get 10 from 5 but Klindt i wouldnt expect to score more than Kyle at number 4.

I think Poole have named a good side and will be favourites again.......could choke like last year i suppose. Seems all the Poole fans on this thread would rather see Gomolski and must say im surprised Poole went for Kurtz I agree Jack looks the better long term prospect but i doubt he will go on to be better than Chris. Timing is everything and the Gp has some great young riders in it like Tai, Zmarzlik, Pawlicki and Dudek and no doubt Fricke very soon. Jack isnt at their level and will he ever be? I guess time will tell but i hope he does well
-
your entitled to an opinion..........just its always the same how other teams look poor and there is never any problems with the Poole team. You can count on 1 hand the number of people who think Wolves look also rans...........and predictably one of them is you
-
i agree. Kurtz didnt kick on at all last season and im shocked he is back and not Gomolski. Holder still has time to improve but i doubt he will ever be as good as his brother or Ward but who knows

Championship Teams Comparison Time
Gavan replied to balderdash&piffle's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
welcome to another wonderful contribution to the thread from a Poole fan........amazing...........care to discuss the league? ..nope thought not..bye -
yes you did but as i say one is on the way up and one on the way down. I would expect Lambert to average more than Hans this season in the same way that in 2015 Lambert was lower than Nicholls but last year he went past him as Nicholls got worse. Hans Andersen isnt going to get any better.......Lambert is and was only slightly behind him last season
-
Exactly. 0.07 between them last year. Lambert as heat leader all season and Andersen started and scored heavy from riding at number 4. Easier to ride well in a successful team then a struggling one. One rider on the way up and one on the way down. Would be very surprised if Andersen averages more than Lambert in this coming season
-
Well your wrong again. Holder 8.95, Lambert 7.08 = 16.03 Doyle 9.58, Morris 6.41 = 15.99 Kasprzak 7.91, Andersen 7.15 = 15.06 So KK and Andersen are the weakest of those 3 teams. As ive said Pooles heat leaders are ok but its the second strings where Poole should be better than the rest
-
Sarjeant and Bates are by some way the best reserve pairing in the league. Poole and Kings Lynn are similar and Somerset with Allen could be strong at home. Rye House and Wolves look similar and Swindon the weakest

William Hill 2017 Odds
Gavan replied to KingIvan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Pawlicki each way at 25/1 looks a fair shout. I would have had the likes of Janowski, Zagar and Vaculik much higher. Zmarzlik for the win money at 6/1 isnt bad either and even Doyle if his injuries are fine could look big at 4/1 -
You know what you get with Shovlar its boring and predictable. Blatantly obvious Wolves are one of the strongest teams this season............trolls only post for a reaction. Anyways if certain Poole fans are so blinkered to only see that one side can win, it could hopefully turn out to be the biggest choke ever from Poole since................................2016
-
as per usual your not understanding my posts. If Klindt gets say 9 from reserve and Newman is managing 6 from the main body If Kyle drops to reserve he will still get 9 but Klindt might not get 6. Apart from when he raced a Poole select towards the seasons end he scored his big points from reserve for Leicester. If Kyle Newman drops to reserve that will weaken Poole
-
Ok so lets say Klindt scores well at reserve and moves into the main body and Kyle drops down. If Klindt was scoring well then Newman will be similar. But in the main team i would expect Newman to outscore Klindt so if Kyle drops down Poole will be weaker
-
No they will be top 4...........and maybe bring in a gp rider at the right time. Oh and foreverblue is a diehard Poole fan.....................what he isnt is a blue tint and is actually intelligent and sensible enough to have a discussion unlike the 3 of you that continually drag the name of Poole speedway down on this forum. When you say 'our team' is that Poole or Swindon as you change teams quite a bit. NIce to see the Wolves thread ruined by the likes of you and Shovlar
-
So reserves win you meetings i point out that although reserves can score heavily they are not the reason why you win meetings you now say you lost the title because of your second strings...................so you agree reserves dont always win you meetings??
-
Shock horror Shovlar in having a go at another team shocker! Wolves top 3 looks to me stronger than Pooles Howarth will be a better second string then Jack Holder, as they averaged the same in the lower league but Howarth at least for this season has the experience of the other tracks. Skornicki is debatable but he could easily average the same as Kurtz. And yes the reserves are weaker than Pooles. So although i think Poole are stronger you are foolhardy to dismiss the Wolves team as one that isnt going to challenge. So far you have said Kings Lynn could be top 4 if they avoid injuries!! Rye House are to old Wolves dont look strong enough. So come on then who will be challengers to Poole???
-
Well as you quite cleary knew Schlein would be joining Wolves...................you must know the reason why he didnt so please enlighten us
-
Quite clearly the reason Holder left wasnt just solely down to figures but you keep banging that drum. Reserves win meetings? How did that go for you in the play off semi finals last year?? Your reserves outscored Wolves (including bonus points) by 35 points to 23, yet you lost over the 2 legs?? Oh and in case you werent sure Belle Vue's reserves outscored Wolves reserves over the 2 legs as well but didnt win! No good your reserves scoring 15 between them and your secong string being rubbish
-
totally predictable response form the boy with 4 or 5 accounts. Grow up is the sort of retort from a schoolboy which you quite clearly are. And yet again you tell people to stick to their own section but its ok for you to post anywhere!! The Poole fans are sick of you like they are Starman, but at least he posts some comedy gold and only has 1 account.
-
In my opinion Kings Lynn have a stronger top 3 and Poole are stronger in the second string roles and slightly at reserve
-
Yep i agree Newman is a better rider then Rose but there was less than half a point between them at both levels last season and at Lynn Rose over took Newman twice in the same night so he certainly can mix it with him and will score well at home. But yes Newman is the better rider
