  1. Of course you want those 2 back … in the worlds elite and great to watch at the NSS and would have loved Dan at Ipswich … not so much Kurtz
  2. Of course I know that but sometimes you can replace a rider with one that might improve to get his average close to what the outgoing rider averaged ….. can’t see that at all with Kildemand And as mentioned a team that struggles away
  3. Replacing Lidsey with Kildemand shows that the team is much weaker this season Absolute guaranteed entertainment but nothing to address the fact the team can’t ride away from home and ultimately that will be their downfall
  4. Yep thanks for that would love a heat leader at Ipswich whose average has gone DOWN each season at Foxhall when in reality it should be going the other way Luke Becker by those stats clearly rides Foxhall much better than Lidsey though every Ipswich fan knows that … and has got better there year on year Musielek on his first visit to Foxhall last season scored poorly with bike troubles …. On his second visit got 7 from 5 riding at number 1….. a score Lidsey matched once in 4 visits last season riding at the easier number 3 berth …. So yes thanks for posting cold hard stats without any bias that clearly shows that Lidsey would be a bang average signing at best
  5. Lidsey would be an awful signing the guy can’t ride our place why would you sign a rider hoping he can improve at your track when clearly he can’t do that He would have the odd good race when he pops out the start because the guy can’t pass wind How average over 7.5 is inflated because he goes well at the NSS Must be better options out there surely If he signs for us I would give him 100% support but I think it would be an awful signing
  6. Might improve his riding on technical tracks if he came to us but I doubt we would sign someone who can’t ride Foxhall
  7. Loram must have been around 5 as he rode at number 6
  8. Belle Vue definitely kept the best team rider in Bewley over Kurtz Kurtz may well be chasing individual glory again and like last season let his club side down which is understandable If I was a Belle Vue fan I wouldn’t want a number one who at the business end of the season doesn’t try
  9. All of those can ride Foxhall apart from Lidsey so I would not want him on his high average when he can’t ride the home track in the right team and the right set up I’d take any of the others Rumours that Jenkins is Lynn bound
  10. Thats a daft statement to make he was a deserving world champion he scored the most points over the series You can take away some of Rickardssons titles then when he would have gate 1 followed by gate 1 and then gate one and then first pick
  11. You are entitled to your opinion and I’m entitled to disagree Nothing against Joe he was supreme to watch and I would cheer for him every race at those early 1990’s British , commonwealth and overseas finals an awesome rider The record books will show he wasn’t quite at Lorams level and it could be argued he should have achieved more We was at Odsal in 1992 and how victory against a world class field in the riders championship was amazing to see
  12. No you are wrong … Mark rode for Hackney in the top league in 1987 Hackney dropped down in 1988 and Mark dropped down with them In 1989 the Hackney promotion moved to Ipswich and Mark Chris and Moggo went as well Mark then moved to Kings Lynn in 1990 as a reserve … we went to his first meeting at home to Reading where Mark top scored with 19 I believe from 7 rides …. The only Reading rider to beat him was their new number 7…. Todd Wiltshire
  13. Mark Loram rode in the top league in 1987 averaging over 5 as a 16 year old Mark then dropped down for 2 seasons before becoming Kings Lynn number 1 in 1990 averaging almost 8 Screen started in 1989 at 17 and for 2 seasons averaged mid 6 Screen was excellent motorcyclist but was never really as good as Loram
  14. Let’s just hope the Poole track doesn’t ruin Cooper … best young rider I’ve seen for a long time but isn’t a renowned gater and I can easily see his away average being higher than his home one
  15. Chris Louis is 56…. He is married and has 2 daughters one of whom is married with children and lives in Denmark Chris and his wife Julie work tirelessly all season and the off season not only running the club but promoting it and actually doing an awful lot on race nights … they both spend a lot of days at the stadium it was their passion and livelihood …. Add on Chris’s tv commitments to this as well Yes Chris is not impressed with the way the sport is heading But do you not think at his age with a family that the time has come for him to perhaps take a rest and enjoy his personal life a bit more ? The loss of John obviously hit Chris hard and now his dad isn’t around probably sees it as the right time to make sure he is there more for his family I don’t think for one second his decision was solely based on speedway Seeing the team win the league finally …. In a year when he lost John … possibly would be the right time to just step back Sure he is annoyed at the sport and the authorities but I feel that was the final straw over something he has thought about for a while
  16. Poole have done well to get a side close to Glasgows and Oxford definitely play offs at least Rushen is a great rider but I expect his away average to be better than the home one… he isn’t the greatest trapper in the world and if Poole is going to be the same crap boring track as last season he may find it tough at home Saw it at Ipswich last season when riders got out the gate before him he struggled to get past on a track that doesn’t produce much passing Glasgow and Oxford have stronger top 5’s then Poole but the reserves can make the difference
  17. Lidsey is a mile away from being a number one Good heat leader at the NSS but I enjoy the fact he hasn’t got the skill set to overtake at Foxhall or to attack the track … must be a Belle Vue thing
  18. No Doyle No Emil and possibly no Kurtz and Holder …. Those top riders will all leave slowly but surely over the winter Brady Kurtz isn’t going to ride in England if the competition isn’t top notch why would he risk injury in a lesser league. Once one big name goes the rest will follow
  19. Poole desperately need Zach Cook to sign …. If it’s not him that’s a bang average side
  20. Ipswich is well backed …. But why?? Maybe the sponsors see how well run the club is and back the club You don’t get good sponsors by running your show badly!! Granted the sponsorship has helped secure Jason and Emil … but it’s not like the sponsor decided to go to the leagues most successful teams and sponsor them …. They chose Ipswich so ask yourself why??? Because the club was run badly or run well?
  21. Clown You don’t think Chris Louis was a good promoter then you are clueless What is a promoter supposed to do? Bankrolled thousands of his own money into the club Ran the club on a huge financial safety net Promoted the club locally year upon year and brought sponsorship into the team Had the highest average gates all season Brought high class riders into the side … riders who wanted to ride for the club and riders who have regularly stated how much of a family club it is and all riders are happy I suggest you shut up about the Emil situation as you clearly have no idea what went on behind the scenes to make that happen and what it cost Chris personally…. And that signing helped every club who always had higher attendances when Emil was I town a true class act You love to stick the boot in at every opportunity you can to Ipswich …. Occasionally not knowing the facts and most of the time just spouting crap Imagine having the best track in the UK and one of the most entertaining riders in the world in Bewley and still not getting good crowds … what Belle Vue could do with a promoter like Louis
  22. Yes he averaged 4.81….. pretty average/poor … but he did donuts so all is good
  23. Shock horror it’s the Belle Vue fans moaning Louis hasn’t thrown his toys out of his pram… Those close to the club know how much money Chris has ploughed into the sport at Foxhall .. his own money ,… the hardest working promoter in the league with the sports interests at the forefront including the recent Tigers academy Unfortunately other promotions don’t share his vision Why should he keep ploughing his own money into something that will bear little or no reward … he is done and I can t blame him He has young grandchildren and he spends 7 days a week almost at Foxhall along with his wife Julie Maybe just maybe with all the expenditure he has put in … all the time and effort (most fans don’t know how much money and time he put in to get Emil over here)…. And the sport going backwards that he feels all of that and at his age of 56 that he might want to spend time at home with family and enjoy his years??? To many people on here mainly Belle Vue clowns who think they know it all when they are absolutely clueless
  24. Louis has put the club up for sale End of an era and the end of Ipswich speedway
