  1. One negative about Sunday was the sound system on the 4th bend is it really that bad? it's loud but you can't make out a word the guy on the centre green is saying. Might not be a bad thing though as from previous visits he does talk a lot of p!sh. But when the guy is announcing the results you can hear him a lot better still quite difficult to hear mind you but not as bad. apart from heat 15 when instead of announcing the result he blabbed on about how Craig Cook was the British number 2 and so on no idea what that was all about.
  2. I wouldn't say everyone i love being so smug it's great.
  3. What Al said drill a smug mentality in your team and it's easy after that.
  4. Newcastle have had 14 home matches this season and 39 times a rider has fallen off and been excluded.
  5. Our league winning side of 2010 wasn't to shabby either spearheaded by the one and only Ryan fisher. Won 10 out of a possible 13 away matches. and 7 of those were 4 point wins.
  6. Agreed he tries to anticipate the starts at time it just gets frustrating that people make out that he rolls every time he is out on track when he doesn't. In general he is usually very good out of the gate but people seem to think otherwise. Rant over back onto the actual topic. Our 2014 side of course purely down to the fact that it's us.
  7. Says on the Website that Cooks score on 7+2 today is his worst score since 22nd of july 2012 which was at Glasgow funnily enough.
  8. Forgot to say well done to Anders Thomsen on actually completing a meeting
  9. think it was around 48 crashes in the 13 meetings they have had at home was the stat someone put on facebook last week.
  10. On a serious note Glasgow gave it good go this afternoon. thought rusty was very entertaining how he only has a 5.5 average riding like that is a mystery. But IMO if Cook actually turned up today we should and probably would have taken all 4 points. Glasgows problem is they have a team who can't gate but are good racers but the track doesn't allow then to do that. the track today was a dust bowl and if you didn't ride the fence you got passed.
  11. well we certainly made that one hard for ourselves. Justin, Stevie and Max are the only people that rode to their full potential today. Derek made gates then rode in no mans land in the first and second bend every time. Aaron was lacking pace Sam and cookie couldn't gate for toffee. The only time Cookie made a gate was heat 13 and the ref pulled it back!!!! Rusty was entertaining and Maxs pass on theo was fantastic. 3 points not so bad should have taken 4 but oh well. oh by the 23 23 23 23 23 23 23 23 23 23 Don't know if i mentioned it but twenty flamin three!!!!!!
  12. the Aussie miss out due to Sweden using a Joker. hard one to take if your an Aussie.
  13. who cares if they are allowed a guest or not come 5pm tomorrow night we will be heading back along the M8 with another 4 points.
  14. Lest continue to use peterborough here as an example. What Brits would you use to replace these foreign riders because as far as I can see there isn't any to replace them with
  15. they will all come out the woodwork if they win tonight though
  16. the fanzone is on Wood street this year near the train station
  17. After hopefully making 22 at Redcar tonight we will be looking to make it 23 at home to the Bears. This one should hopefully be a bit more competitive than some of our other home matches but we should take all 3 points. Richard Lawson is unavailable as he is riding for Lakeside and his place will be taken by Agent Wolbert. The weather though might stop us from doing that though, as it supposed to rain all day. Teams for Friday: Edinburgh Craig Cook Justin Sedgmen Max Fricke Stevie Worrall Sam Masters Aaron Fox Derek Sneddon Redcar Kevin Wolbert (G) Hugh Skidmore Mark Lemon Carl Wilkinson Aaron Summers Jan Graversen Rafal Konopka
  18. http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.25942 You have got to love Stewart Dixon it is more important to him than anything to beat us. The man is obsessed.
