  1. You do realise the guy is absolutely garbage away from the place.
  2. Kind of went how most Glasgow matches have went in recent times built up a lead then throws it away. Cluff as predicted awful, Grahn better as the meeting went on, Paco should’ve been dominating that heat 14 instead was pottering about behind his team mate. The rest doe their jobs. Thought Harris was lucky to not go in Heat 1, didn’t really turn into bend 1 and ran into the side of Dan T, bit of a cop out from the ref that one. Anyway good to see our season finally kick off and hopefully most improve from here.
  3. Should have the upper hand in the Top 5 but Glasgows reserves could be key, Hagon should be the strongest on Show and Hodder has had good races at Edinburgh in the past. I know was only practice but Cluff seemed to struggle to get round the place so leaves a lot of pressure on Yong Jordy to score some points. If one of the top 5 aren’t riding to their capabilities Glasgow could nick it. Never a huge fan of coming up against the old enemy without having a home match under our belts.
  4. Bewley had only been riding Speedway 6 months at that point. 😂
  5. Really concerning you think they are only one rider away from competing with anyone. They’re another 3/4 away from competing with half the league more like.
  6. Either of the Kennedy brothers would fit.
  7. 8 of the 11 points Bowes has scored so far were by beating Kilma and Spencer would class that as doing the minimum so far.
  8. Wouldn’t be like Ben Barker to open his mouth without knowing what he’s talking about would it. 😁
  9. Just checked it is yes, article on the website the way it’s written suggests otherwise.
  10. He’s the number 8, they can name an under 24 rider there and bring them to replace boys in the top 5 during the meeting. Usual suspects clutching at straws saying a reduced facility, would’ve rode tonight if not for the rain and tomorrow if there was a physical way of getting there on time for Sunday.
  11. assuming only if he has The Rangers at the top of course 😁.
  12. Think we need to send them two to the doctors for a check up.
  13. Albitt ran three lasts how’s that impressed you. 😂
  14. Well as expected scunny absolutely garbage on the road and Picko making a touch less embarrassing.
  15. Robs splashed the bank account on Picko no money left to do the PA system. 😁
  16. I’d say that’s an upgrade on Wright.
  17. Even though if he never signed for Glasgow he would’ve had a spot at Edinburgh in the NDL but okay. 😂 If you can point out where I’ve said local lads are unwilling to ride? Like I said in my post Mark isn’t riding this year, Liam has decided to move to Glasgow rather than staying where he’s been with the academy, Lee is taking a step back from NDL this year to rebuild his confidence a bit. So please suggest options for who the academy should’ve signed that are up to standard instead of who they have signed. Edinburgh are a club who are trying to bring through local riders and are doing a lot more for the youth than probably most clubs in the UK. Are there any other clubs out there who have a training academy for kids wanting to start out, then can progress when old enough to the NJL then again if good enough to the NDL then again potentially Championship? There’s not. So let’s not try twist things.
  18. You know what team pushed hugely for the limit to be increased. 😉
  19. Which in the grand scheme of things is ridiculous really, for a guy who still rode NDL/NDT an was offered two team spots at the start of the season and was going to sign for scunny mid season till he got injured. Robs ball his rules.
  20. Spot on, it’s just a cover up for the real reason as to why it exists.
  21. Which is a bit different to how they announced it in the press release which was: RETURNING RIDERS (CHAMPIONSHIP ONLY): If a professional British rider has not ridden in previous seasons, they may apply for a reduction on their previous Championship average of 8 per cent for each year missing. It is hoped that this will provide some assistance to riders who have taken time out of the sport, and who are now once again seeking team places. The way they’ve said it sounds like it it’s for riders looking to make a comeback in the sport not guys who’ve still rode and decided not to ride championship. So it seems like the rule has been written in a way that it can be abused, which in this case clearly is.
  22. Of course tweaking the averages so at the time in a development league a young promising teenager can still ride is the same as making a rule up, which I believe is only this year and to be looked at for next so Rob can fit Nathan in his side in a so called professional league. Was announced to bring riders lost to the sport back yet been written in the rule book differently so things like what’s happened has happened. It’s down now so is shat it is. Don’t trust the guy in charge which he’s given plenty reason not too.
