Point taken, in my opinion it takes a lot of background knowledge and rider/rules/speedway history knowledge to be effective on the centre green,

That was tried last year or the year before and Steve I believe did not enjoy it, due to his lack of knowledge was left 'dry' on numerous occasions Dick Barrie has his critics, mostly from the idiots that moan about anything concerning Berwick Speedway. But he is Bandits through and through and comes with a wealth of experience, most of his comments are with tongue in cheek and should I believe be taken as such

Goodiepatchie, I've looked at your posts these last few days and you seem hell bent on wanting to see Berwick Speedway close down !Negativity will help no one, yes Saturday was a bad day for Berwick as have been the last few weeks, but constant moaning is not going encourage the riders or promotors very much is it ? Berwick Speedway has seen worse times than we have now and bounced back, hopefully it will again this time.

Well that killed that conversation BigEd. On the whole Speedway in run by promotors and volunteers who all have their own life's / jobs / family's etc etc out with the sport and are only involved in it as a hobby. They put as much time into it as their other commitments allow.I have been to many supporters gathering's in the winter months when extra help is asked for in the upcoming season and there is always plenty volunteers, BUT when the season starts ?? Yeah,the same people that have done all the work for years voluntarily and then get slated on here . So please, don't come on this forum knowing all the answers ! Go to your club owners, make you suggestions to them and maybe offer your HELP to carry out your idea's, you never know, it may just help to save your Speedway

I tend to move around,but on the occasions I stand on the first bend I've not had a problem hearing the announcements. Where exactly do you stand Chucks ?

I much prefer bikes on parade, but on the down side, the first race didn't start until 7.15. A lot of nights we struggle for time with the curfew when they start near enough 7.00

Agree, but there is still a huge population in that area. To be honest, I don't know how they keep it going, low crowds and relentless criticism from all directions, some justified and many not in my opinion
