  1. I was watching an old SGP on youtube the other day, think was Prague 2002. Had Millard and Tatum commentating and in all honesty the whole presentation was streets ahead of what it is now. And everyone (myself included) used to slate Millard! Tatum is IMO fine as a back up but needs a proper commentator ahead of him. Pearson was superb IMO and is very badly missed. Pearson's excitement along with his excellent knowledge of the sport was brilliant and wont hear anyone tell me different. Pundits, presenters and commentators make errors in all sports at all levels and thought the people each week slating Pearson were a bit harsh. Granted Millard was a bit of a plank but still streets ahead of what we have now. Watch an old SGP or Elite League meeting on youtube from 20 ish years ago and watch a modern day one and you'll see what I mean. I find Chris Louis a very informative guy but he is as boring as they get when commentating. When you had Pearson & Tatum commentating, Johnathan Green and Louis/Johno in the studio and Sophie Blake interviewing in the pits, it was pretty good.
  2. Had a few beers and watched some old crashes and cockups during lockdown and I remember that Wilson/Corbett incident, Wilson was racing someone to the line I think and Corbett shut off early crossing the line and Wilson had nowhere to go, I think thats how I remember it. It was the behaviour of Wilson after it whilst Corbett was on the track still that p""""d off the Arena fans. Was a few years ago that I seen it but I am pretty sure thats what happened.
  3. I remember Wilson trying to shove Frankie Smart in the fence at Newport one year, missed and done himself in instead. Think he missed the PLRC the next day and a bit of the year after. Always preferred Stonehewer to Wilson, better rider as well.
  4. Yeah it kind of got hushed up that whole story.
  5. Regardless of ridiculous decisions by the ref, King cost Ippo this. That is a pathetic score and if they are to be serious challengers next season he has to go - reminds me of Tony Atkin at Newport. Solid enough most of the time in the middle order but knew you wouldn't win anything with him in the side. That said, had Doyle and Emil been riding then it would of been another story.
  6. Think the oh dear should go to you, can you not remember Sids reply to Trigger in the cafe ???
  7. The damage has already been done. As Orion stated, the constant watering down of the standard year on year has seen the crowds fall away. No coincidence. The sport is dying on its ar*e sadly and not sure there is any way back for most clubs now. 90 percent of British clubs have promoted poorly over the years, the powers that be have let things get out of control rules wise and whats left is a rubbish product that most wont take serious anymore.
  8. The sooner they bring back the 4 or 5 man sides the better. Never seen the appeal in this format, its horrendous.
  9. Wouldn't say Sedgmen is passed his sell by date... since he has came back from his year or two away he has been pretty decent on the whole. He has always been inconsistent.
  10. Janowski may well come good again, his last few scores have been much better and you don't just lose it over night.
  11. Pawlicki hasnt been anything like a number 5 so far though.
  12. Bin Pawlicki surely, he has been woeful all season and would imagine isn't cheap. Lindgren a great signing and more than capable of mixing it with the top dogs in the league.
  13. Redcar , Somerset , Newport to name three. And there are more . He has been involved in speedway for years. Dont come on here talking bollocks about legal action to me, the more people that know about stuff like this the better.
  14. What , clamp down on a member posting a disgusting article thats in the public domain concerning someone who has been involved in speedway for years and years?
  15. he has been involved with numerous clubs over the years . And the brother of a current member of the board of Birmingham speedway . it's extremely important in this day and age for people to be aware of the types that are involved in the sport . His crimes were sickening.
  16. Look at surname and look at Brummies promotional / management.
  17. Just been sent a very disturbing article , there was rumours of it for years around Newport and what he was up to but after whats been posted recently about another sick forum member, thought it would be appropriate to make people aware of this. I think everyone will know who the said person is linked to. https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/24195050.newport-paedophile-teacher-jailed-assaulting-boys/
  18. Doyle is superb. Anyone who can call him dangerous when supporting Frede Schott every week has some front.
  19. Not according to chunky. hes obviously a paid up and proud member of the nonce brigade.
  20. More drivel. if you class something like what Iris123 earlier stated as more serious than the stuff SCB got done for and fantasied over , you must not be playing with a full deck. Paedophiles are the lowest of the low. Harming young, innocent children. Its disgusting to put it mildly. Stop defending the sicko , each post you make is making yourself look worse and I am sure everyone whos been active on this topic will agree.
  21. You seem to be doing all you can to defend paedos. Someone should check your hard drive as well.
  22. I do think more of them lurk around the sport than what we know. despite SCB getting turned on by seeing people piss, id not piss on him if he was on fire. Should be banned from here immediately.
  23. And Spin King Junior isnt a thick as a plank knobend who has served time in jail for assault either. As far as I am aware anyway
