  1. Very disappointing performance and again Mark failing to use the tac sub when required. Time for Wells to be released. He’s had enough time now to find his form, he’s just not good enough.
  2. Well I've been up and down about which way this will go. I first I thought bv would win but ive changed my mind. Can see a close meeting with the Robin's just shading it
  3. At the end of the day if max is going to put it out then he’s got to be able to take it and tbf he didn’t go after Leon. Leon had got in front, there was a nice berm of dirt coming out of 3 and max was using it all night, picked up a shed load of speed and just doesn’t read the move for me.
  4. The thing is, unless I’ve missed it, it doesn’t say anywhere that you have to leave racing room. That is just a respectful, gentleman’s agreement. If max goes down then Leon goes as primary cause just like max did last week because that is the rule but if you stay on and fail to read the move then I guess you takes your chances. Its a real 50/50 but personally I don’t think Madsen does a lot wrong. Ungentlemanly maybe, but not outside of the rules. Pedersen has been castigated on a number of occasions for things that were just tough racing moves.
  5. He did and bomber should have read it, just like max should have. It’s an exclusion like Max’s was, if he went down, which by the book I guess is the correct decision. But I don’t agree with it.
  6. It’s a tough one and at the risk of repeating what I said last week, Madsen just about had the lead. Max, like Bomber, decided to keep it wound on rather than read the move. He doesn’t leave racing room but this is top level speedway.
  7. Racing incident. No different to the Fricke/Harris one at bv last week
  8. He was correctly excluded because he was the primary cause. I don’t dispute that. My argument is that bomber was equally at fault for just carrying on regardless. Pretty much any other rider would have shut off there and had a word after the race if they felt it was out of line. You see those moves Steve pretty much every week in the Polish league, but they back out carry on the race and sort out the detail after
  9. Value is decided by the consumer. If we are not selling enough tickets, then it’s too expensive whether it’s comparable or not. The price has to represent value and looking at the footfall, it seems it doesn’t. Imo if there is a demand for £10 tickets, for example, and we sold an extra 4/500 by doing so on a consistent basis, then £10 is the price point it should be. Unfortunately there is just too much cost in the sport today making it next to impossible to turn a profit
  10. I’d take Auty over Garrity. Jason is reckless, injury prone and very slow round the NSS
  11. He was making the pass. Look, 99.9% of riders get off the tap there, for whatever reason Bomber decided to carry on. Personally I think that was a silly choice. You see that type of move every Sunday in Poland. They just crack right on with it. In terms of ‘rider in front rule’, do me a favour, and don’t put words in my mouth.
  12. Where in the rule book does it say he has to? It’s good sportsmanship, yes, but it’s not a ruling. The rider in front can put the bike wherever he chooses and max chose to run up to the boards as he made the pass. On paper he was the primary cause of stoppage so had to go, but Chris was equally to blame for staying on the taps after he’d been passed. He should have throttled off and cut back in as max was clearly chasing the high line.
  13. It was just a racing incident. It was the correct choice but that type of crash is always open to debate for me because max was in front. Imo it’s down to the rider behind to make a decision given that he can see what is happening. Chris is a great racer, but he was foolish to stay on the gas. Max had to go because thems the rules but personally I don’t think he did a lot wrong.
  14. He scored 1 point in the rerun. Granted it was his 2nd bike, but I’m sure he would been set up for the track. Without the collision Fricke would have passed him anyway.
  15. It’s promoted across social media pretty much on a daily basis and for a long time we had radio adverts and a huge board in Manchester. The reality is that speedway is a dying sport in the uk and anything over 1500, even for BV, is a good crowd in today’s climate. The simplicity is that is it’s too expensive. £20 pound to sit, vs other amateur sports, is way overpriced but it needs to be that way to cover costs. The speedway alone should be going half way to winning the battle at bv but it seems that’s not enough.
  16. Yes, easily. He’d have scored 10/11 I think. And Ipswich would have won.
  17. The crowd was about 1200. The grandstand had 2 blocks full so that’s 600, and I reckon another 6 to 700 on the back straight. Its comparable to a lot of tracks but it’s still poor. The grandstand for tv meetings should be reduced to a tenner.
  18. Would Etheridge fit? Might be worth a shout. Was always very good at home.
  19. You do have to wonder whether it was the plan all along, playing devils advocate.
  20. So what next? Wells has to go after tonight imo. He was up against the strongest reserves in the league but Allen was only just back from injury and they scored 8 between them. Not quick enough. With the change lynn have made, and the 2 upcoming ones, I think we need a change pronto. Even with the team we have we will get in the play offs easily but I’m tired of just getting in them I want to win the dam league. That lynn team will wipe the floor and easily do us over 2 legs. Problem is we have left ourselves with nothing to play with
  21. I have some sympathy for Ricky because he’s clearly working his balls off, but if ever there was a case of a rider just not having enough speed on a track like ours, then Ricky is it. Problem now is his average has dropped and we don’t have a lot to play with. Just one other thing off topic btw, I’ve just watched heats 13 and 15 off BTs twitter feed and I have to say the camera work is absolutely horrific.
  22. He did know, that’s for certain. Max is much harder rider than people realise. I think racing in Poland every week has toughened him up. I don’t think tonight was massively naughty, it’s just when you race someone like bomber, he ain’t going to get off the taps. Max did the same to Lawson in heat 13 but Richard backed out. That said even when in front you need to leave racing room and he didn’t do that
  23. Decent meeting. Fair play to Ipswich I thought they would go on and win that, but that heat 12 win from dan after running 3 lasts was critical. Wells needs to go. He is hampering the team now and just isn’t fast enough around the NSS. If we could find a decent replacement we will be in the play offs easily.
