  1. Don’t agree. Ipswich are stronger in heat 12 here. We could well be chasing 6 points in those last 3. Good team Ipswich. Not to brag but I did say they’d run us close.
  2. Time for Wells to call it a day here I think. Not good enough
  3. That was right in front of me. Hard move but that’s racing. Fricke has the lead but should have left some more room.
  4. Nothing on the outside for him then. It’s opening up now so he should score a few. I still fancy Ipswich to win this. They are vastly underrated and I’ll hold my hands up, I was one. They are so solid right across the team.
  5. I’ve changed my forecast. Ipswich will win this
  6. This is going to be a close meeting. Like I thought
  7. They are running a loss anyway. This fixture should be a tenner, he’ll, even £5. Just put some f#####g bums on seats for gods sake!
  8. The crowd is absolutely horrendous. Seriously, when will promotions learn??? Its embarrassing
  9. Actually in the stadium, I’d say less than a thousand tonight. Why we don’t promote at a discount for these meetings is beyond me. You have to give people an incentive to get of their ass when it’s on the tv. Even just dropping the grandstand to £15 entry would make an impact. And we run a loss we run a loss, we will be anyway, but at least the place will look half full and maybe entice people into coming in the future.
  10. Chris and Richard are heatleaders though. Up against our top 3 they haven’t a hope. Ipswich will score points tonight at reserve and in the middle order. I think if we start well we will win comfortably if we don’t it will be close. I expect Ipswich to be stronger in the middle of the meeting which is something we have been susceptible to recently at home
  11. Not really a wish, no. More a certainty of we are being honest. Ipswich have nothing to compete with those pair tonight.
  12. I know that is tongue in cheek but I expect Ipswich to reach 40, potentially in with a shout of a point. A strong middle order and reserves who are fire right now. Allen has had some good meetings and Bellego generally goes well here It will be lost at the top of the team. I’d put my house on of Fricke or Bjerre, if not both, going through the card.
  13. That scenario has happened on a multitude of occasions in other sports. The reality is a season ticket will generally save you money so take your chances. Speedway can’t cater for the minority, it needs to go after the popular demand and if it pisses off a few ST holders because they’ve lost a buck, I’m afraid that is just the roll of the dice sometimes.
  14. I hope so. He seems like a good lad. Whilst there are differences ultimately he is a motorcyclist in this type of environment so should find a way, in time, of adapting better.
  15. Have to say it will be very odd seeing Craig lining up for another top league team. He likes the place though so will do well. Wish him all the best. Can see comfortable home win here. Lambert and cook to go unbeaten.
  16. Shame. He hasn’t developed quickly enough I don’t think. I don’t wish to be contrary, it’s just my opinion, but I have always felt that he’s had all the gear, but not necessarily the right idea. He came on the scene with some good sponsorship, sparkling van and equipment etc, maybe all a bit to much to soon and forgot about the most important bit, riding the bike. He clearly has a lot of natural talent, with the right mentor he will be a solid rider in time. Of course that depends on whether this is a permanent or temporary break. Hopefully he can get his head together and come back stronger it would be a shame to lose another young Brit.
  17. And again, an opportunity missed. Given the crowds we have had so far, and that it’s a tv fixture, this should be £10. I don’t understand why we don’t do it. There will be 1k if we are lucky. And the place will look empty on the tv.
  18. No way it will be that big. Heeps is in the form of his life, Allen loves the place as does Bellego. I’d imagine the pole will enjoy it to. They won’t compete at the top end but Ipswich will make 40 points easily imo.
  19. Work has been done but not the work that needs to be done. The base is knackered I would suggest, and needs relaying. Until that happens everything in between will be a temp fix and isn't actually solving the problem. Whilst I understand there will be a significant cost implication, in the end Poole speedway are bringing the sport into disrepute and if there was a correct and proper process from the governing body they would be fined and instructed to fix the issues. As it is, it's all a bit jobs for the boys and so Poole can carry on regardless. Its poor and on a grander scale really highlights the unprofessionalism across the sport as a whole. The real shame of it all is that Wimbourne Road was once, and still can be, a great speedway track. It's a great shape and has stood the evolution of the bikes. Unfortunately on here we have a few pillocks who see no wrong and will push the mantra until their dying day. I really hope the majority of Poole supporters can see and understand the problem, it'll not solve anything in the end, but its nice to know there is still some sanity in the human race down there.
  20. You are not the full set. You did see the part where Tobias was catapulted into the fence, you know when he went over the handle bars? That is some laying down of a bike, quite spectacular actually. With respect to you, it's people like yourself and Steve who create the anger that surrounds Poole on these boards. You have a circuit that is dangerous, as pointed out by a very recent world champion, has it ever occurred to you that what you are defending is indefensible? That actually, the Poole track has a very clear and present issue, one that could cause serious injury? Why not just be normal for a day, and throw your hands up to it?
  21. It’s always well prepared, I’ll not dispute that. However, Monmore suits the lay down machine and the track was at its strongest over those periods. I’ve seen riders turn themselves inside out going into the bends at the green. Now some of that is rider skill but generally it’s down to today’s bikes. Its not a critical swipe at the track, I just think the bikes and riders have evolved and it’s no longer fit for purpose. In respect of bv fans, I can’t agree with that. Peterborough is a truly wonderful track and so is Somerset, Scunthorpe and even Redcar on my recent visits. All the NSS has done is make bv supporters appreciate the current climate and just how important the flow of a speedway track is.
  22. The variety can be in the league below, imo. Redcar is very different to wolves, it’s small but it rides like a big track. Same as Somerset and Scunthorpe. I know you don’t want to hear it, but I believe Wolves is no longer the track it was and just doesn’t suit the modern machine anymore. As well prepared as monmore is, I think it’s had it’s day. Riders poodle around and get in all sorts of bother with it. There is no natural flow to it. Speaking to quite a few bv fans yesterday who all said the same thing, since going to the NSS you realise just how poor monmore is now. That’s not being arrogant it’s just an honest observation.
  23. That should be on the list my apologies. It’s an excellent track
  24. It's been this way for about 6 years. Gradually getting worse. There are days when it is passable but for the majority it's nowhere near good enough. It needs ripping up, base included, and relaying. It really is that simple, and yes, I know there will be a huge cost implication.
