  1. Agree Wells is the concern imo. I think he was 2nd only to Cook in last years championship averages but it’s not translating into the premiership. I’d expect such a strong Championship rider like him to be a 3rd heatleader in this league, potentially 2nd given how close the leagues have become. As it is he is barely a 2nd string and if Lidsey continues to develop will soon be at reserve. He doesn’t look quick enough round the NSS. He scored paid 6 last night but some of positions he got himself in and the starts he was making, it really should have been more like paid 10. He is getting passed too easily and doesn’t have the speed he needs.
  2. It was much slicker and from about the 7th race all the dirt was up by the boards. Apart from heat 2 and heat 4 I think, every heat had a pass and you could use all the track, inside and out. The NSS rides so much better when it’s slick with just enough dirt on the outside to be able to use it. When it’s like that it evens up the whole track and you can go as quick on the inside as you can on the outside and that makes for great racing. I just hope they leave it now and prep like that every week because the start of this season has been poor in terms or racing until last night.
  3. Some good racing tonight, much more like the NSS we know and love. Lynn were a 2 man team, you can’t start meetings like that and expect to get something. Unless your Poole
  4. I’ve pmd you but looking at the updates site it seems you’ve found someone?
  5. On paper bv should be winning this but lynn just seem ride the NSS really well. can see an away win tonight
  6. Format not great. Bring back the World Cup. Racing was okay, but could have been so much better with a top class, even international field. The final would be a blast here.
  7. It’s been like that since the start of the season. It’s been very grippy which has made it a bit 1 line. The weather hasn’t helped. The top lads tonight with strong motors will sail off into the sunset and passing will be at a premium
  8. Togliatti is gate and go. We will have a chance, Craig goes well around the place. Tonight will be boring imo. While it’s a fair track there are huge gaps in terms of ability. Latvia may have a say but the top 3 are clear as day.
  9. I am as it happens. Heaven knows I'm miserable now is a beast of a tune. As it goes I'm generally a positive person, unfortunately what I've said above is pretty accurate.
  10. Not sure how tonight will pan out. Rob is out of sorts and out of form whilst Craig has been coasting through the CL without so much as a challenge. That the field is so poor outside of the top 3 and that we have tai will ensure we go through. I hope the racing is better than the start of the season at the NSS because it's not been great and these types of fields with such gaping chasms never help the spectacle.
  11. They have released some online for printing at home if anyone is still scrambling for tickets Standing only
  12. Will they go online or is it turn up at the stadium
  13. Tickets gone off sale on the website is it sold out? Thought there were still standing tickets
  14. It’s a rubbishe statement but also a really clear marker of just how bad British speedway is right now that Swindon have had to bow down to the demands of a sponsor like that. They have a horrible race suit and I’m sure Alun was challenged about it on Twitter. His response was it’s ‘the difference between going out of business’ They have them over a barrel and Swindon can’t do jack about it otherwise they would potentially fold. Im also guessing this is why Craig left Peterborough. Absolutely stupid. He’s now without a main sponsor and a place in the top league and would explain why he was asking for too much coin. The sport should never bow down to a sponsor like that.
  15. I’m sure he is aware, somebody somewhere would be making noises, especially in a meeting like today. A lot of riders ride for themselves though, I would imagine it happens a lot.
  16. Thomsen and Huckenbeck seem like the obvious choices, both have come on massively in recent years.
  17. what would need to happen in terms of numeration to get Craig back in place of Ricky? Is it doable at the next set of averages if we replace Berge as well with a lower averaged rider? Say Bickley or flint for example what would that leave us, Craig’s average comes down at the first set for EL doesn’t it?
  18. Dont think it was awful Phil. Not close to the standard we are used to but it would still beat most tracks. It was really deep today and that just doesnt suit the track. It needs to be slick with enough on the outside to make 2 racing lines. The racing got better when it went slick.
  19. It isn't poorly prepared it's just not been prepared like the past. Its still a beautiful track to ride. The outside has gone. You literally go backwards when you get out to it.
  20. There are a few options available. Belle vue are generally loyal to their riders so I would be surprised to see changes at this point. The first thing we need to do is adjust the riding order. Wells needs to go to number 2, Dan to number 4 and Steve to number 3. Bjerre will likely go to 1 at the next set of averages. That should give us a better balance. Garrity is on decent terms now so I'd have a look. The biggest change though is simple enough, get the averages down enough to be able to bring Craig back for Ricky, and get a replacement for Berge.
  21. It did but they went to town on it. Got the massive bowser out and went round 3 times. Way over watered. From that moment Poole just adapted better. It totally killed our flow and I'd love to know if that was done in consultation with the home riders or not. A good come back for Poole so well done to them but to drop a 16 point lead after half of a meeting is shocking. I said earlier stand by this team but I've changed my mind after that. Wells and Berge need to go.
  22. That decision to water the track has single handedly cost us that meeting. Absolutely appalling decision and whoever's made the call needs bringing to book.
