  1. Then he can’t be in the side. If Ipswich go with a rising star plus Hume at 6 then they’ll finish bottom.
  2. Would you have confidence that Lambert would come back here and give it 100% in every meeting like Jason Doyle does? I wouldn’t. And that’s pretty shocking to say because one is a Brit and one is an Aussie but there you go. Doyle is worth more to a Premiership club than Lambert. If Lambert does commit to a full season here and you back him to have a better season than Doyle with actual money, you’ll lose it.
  3. Was going to say the same you beat me to it. Stuff the rules, “we want to see the best riders” is the trendy saying these days isn’t it? So bugger it, Chuck him in why not!
  4. They batter everyone there. Sheffield got done there by a similar score last week. When most clubs have an off night at home they lose, Belle Vue have an off night at home and they still win, just not by a landslide. By far the biggest home track advantage in the league.
  5. You’re missing the point yet again! Whether you think it’s “sensible” is irrelevant! Oh never mind I give up.
  6. Again you’re completely missing the point! Not sure many DO think it’s better to use guests actually. Supporters don’t make the rules and plenty don’t agree with a lot of them. The issue is expecting clubs to keep to the rules that they’ve all agreed to whether you agree with them or not.
  7. Think it’s clear the rule was league fixtures. Not one but two clubs made changes before the league campaign, and yet neither was challenged by any of the others. No club tried to make a change between 25% and 75% of league fixtures did they? A poorly explained rule yes, but ultimately it explained itself in the end.
  8. Anyone that has paid any attention to the league this year, will know full well the home advantage Belle Vue have. And to think people said that Belle Vue was such a “fair track” and that there was little to none home advantage. LOL. How many 60+ scores have you had at home Phil? And yet without looking at the stats, I’m guessing your away record is one of if not THE worst in the top 4?? That tells you everything you need to know about your home advantage. Keep in within 20 at Foxhall and you’ll still be favourites to progress. Why do you constantly keep doing this as if the Witches are some sh!te team that finished bottom? Despite on Eurosport Monday night with Stead, Tatum, and the other presenters claiming every 5 minutes that they had “won the league”, “finished top” etc etc, they’ve done no such thing! Now if Sheffield beat Ipswich in Ipswich’ last remaining fixture then they’ll have achieved that. But that’s not yet settled is it. You’re doing Ipswich a disservice, good side as the table suggests, (joint top on points), but the home advantage Belle Vue have will see them through to the final.
  9. I’ll have a bash. That 16+1 literally came out of the blue and nobody was expecting anything like that from him. He’s never found Foxhall to his liking and his score of 3 earlier on at Foxhall was much less of a shock. How’d I do?
  10. Stop spouting nonsensical b0llocks. Doyle is part of the Ipswich septet, they didn’t borrow him for the evening so they didn’t have to be “anywhere without him”. You’re a spikey salty lot some of you Panthers fans.
  11. Why would Panthers fans feel “cheated”? They lost absolutely nothing. Under the old scoring system they would have got 1 point for a home draw, they still got their 1 point for the draw. They were just given an extra opportunity to pick up a couple more which they didn’t take! So they weren’t cheated as you put it, in any way shape or form. If anything they should be grateful they were given another opportunity to grab another two points!!
  12. Well that just isn’t true this season is it? Sheffield had just as much opportunity to gain 3 points as Ipswich did last night, but they failed. That’s their problem.
  13. We know who they are. Old “it was better in my day” brigade who preferred upright Japs, personal leathers with race jackets who are covered from head to toe in old speedway badges whilst filling in their programme on a tried and trusted programme board they’ve been using since 1972. No wonder the sport’s dying on its @rse.
  14. “Normally scores well there” as in the reserve berth, not Peterborough as a track. In the main body he’s often found wanting, but at reserve he often piles in the points.
  15. Starke is usually a trump card at reserve and normally scores very well there. He’s carrying a shoulder injury and is clearly struggling. Hume is a massive miss also.
  16. This is interesting because I asked this question to a current team manager last week and was also told that Riss couldn’t be brought back when fit which surprised me. I thought he could and that’s why he was names as an “injury replacement” rather than simply a replacement. Perhaps Neil Watson could shed some light here as he’s good with that sort of stuff. Think it’s a moot point anyway. Unless Tungate completely tanks you’d be barking to bring him back in for the play offs after a 6 week lay off where he’s bound to have lost some sharpness. Tungate is a better rider anyway, all things being equal.
  17. Until contracts are actually signed, either party can change their minds. Deals can be agreed in principle, but it means nothing until they’ve put pen to paper and even then sometimes things change. I can remember Louis changing his team at the 11th hour a few years back, the evening before the seven were due to be named. Can’t remember one of the swaps, but one involved Stefan Nielsen and Joe Jacobs.
  18. I see the Lynn fans are using the old Shovlar tactic of claiming a miracle if their team wins against all odds because their replacement reserve isn’t as strong as their usual reserve. Behave. You’re facing a side using R/R for Riss who have their number 8 in the rising star role and their rising star who nobody has seen or heard for months taking up a spot in the 1-5!!
  19. Or Belle Vue or Sheffield? Two tracks you’d expect him to go well on. He’s replacing Erik Riss, not Jason Doyle.
  20. From what I gather they no longer exist, just a courtesy call needed. Not 100% on that though.
  21. See what you’re saying, but he’s still an Ipswich asset although not sure how much sway that has these days. You’d think at the very least if Peterborough wanted to sign him then they’d have to contact Ipswich. Maybe then Ipswich nipped in themselves with two vacancies?
  22. Foxhall is a decent track that produces good racing when prepared well, just like most others really. Track prep isn’t an exact science though and can be extremely difficult to get right. A lot comes down to luck as well in my opinion. You can prepare it the exactly same way two weeks running and yet have it seemingly perform completely differently both times. I don’t think Louis gets enough credit either for the effort that went in to changing the shape. That first winter involved an incredible amount of work in awful wintry conditions that at one stage, didn’t look like being completed in time. The following few years involved further alterations bringing the inside in, but On a smaller scale. It’s resulted in an excellent shape for racing. Saw a split aerial picture a few weeks back on social media of the old shape and new side by side and the difference was incredible. From long straights and incredibly tight bends to a far more circular and much wider shape. I’ll see if I can find it.
