Super Blue replied to cowboy cookie returns?'s topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well done to Gino tonight in the World Cup , very ably backing up Greg Hancock to secure America 2nd place behind Team GB ! He certainly did us proud including taking the scalp of Tai in the process . It does of course now mean we will now probably need to book a guest for Thursdays meeting with Berwick . Personally im not sure using r/r would necessarily cover his absence effectively . After a quick scan of riders that would fit the bill I think my choice would be Lewis Blackbird as there's doesn't appear to be too many others available that could do the job . Unless anyone else has any ideas ? -

Most of the teams that come to Foxhall seem to like it, does the track differ massively at the OTA as I've never been there? -

Well I for one am very pleased with the turnaround from last weeks showing and will happily praise the riders for all contributing towards the win! Unfortunately we have had more than one false dawn this season and I personally have no intention of getting carried away that the worst is now behind us. I will still need alot of convincing that the consistent underperformers are over their bad patches. We have a very good team on paper and that needs to be proven to the fans before the complaining is likely to stop. Over and out. -

A much more convincing performance tonight by the Witches and I don't want to take anything away from a good win but Somerset really don't like riding at Foxhall. It almost looked like they were a beaten team on the parade lap with the look on their faces. I must admit I was a tad surprised by Chris Louis stating publicly that changes were a distinct possibility if things didn't improve in the next couple of meetings! In my opinion the opposition tonight or lack of it has given the team a much needed boost and no doubt temporarily eased the pressure and criticism from disgruntled fans (including myself) to make changes. One win against a team who hates riding here doesn't I'm afraid make everything rosy in the garden. Let's however enjoy the win tonight and long may it continue. I as always live in hope that we've turned the corner. -

Don't worry Sue I'm sure he will be persuaded back in a couple of weeks, he'll miss it too much. -

Sorry but I have to disagree , in any job on the planet ( not just speedway ) if an employee consistently underperforms they will be warned and if it continues they will be dismissed . Without doubt at least 2 of the Witches riders come into this category and in my opinion ought to accept the consequences , however they seem to have a very patient promoter in their corner . Whilst I say again that this loyalty is admirable I know I wouldn't have a job anymore if I had continually been as bad . Back to the meeting now , it's a beautiful day and I really do hope the team pulls together and comes up with a good win to send all the fans home happy ! ( including me ) -

Unfortunately the only ones that would be truly happy about Louis saying there will be no changes are the 7 riders ! That's 7 happy compared with the hundreds of unhappy fans who are the ones who ultimately pay the salaries . Whilst loyalty is highly commendable surely it is commercial suicide not to keep the punters happy ? -

No doubt these kind of feelings are brought about by the promotions apathy towards strengthening the team and lack of ambition to be successful ! Obviously the season ticket holders will continue to attend but im sure more and more of the weekly payers will think twice before parting with their hard earned to watch the kind of garbage served up last week ! The overall attendances are usually up slightly with the kids go free during the school hols but there seems to be fewer and fewer week on week ! I will be there but for how much longer , who knows ? -

If the Witches perform in the same way as they did against Glasgow they will lose! Half the team were shocking, if those riders get their backsides in gear then they should win. Personally I'm hoping it's the latter. -
After last week's shocker of a draw against Glasgow how do we all think we will fare in this encounter? Having already beaten them twice this season, once very easily one would like to think we can do it again but after our latest performance I'm not so sure. Opinions please?

And there lies our current problems. If anyone had said to me at the start of the season that we would be having issues with Adam and Cam as reserves I would probably have laughed at them! But that is the current situation much as it saddens me to say it. -
Cheers

This one not on updates , anyone got the scores ?

Chris Louis may want success from the current team and the underperforming riders to score more points but getting in a fresh face that scores more would surely make little difference to the bank balance unless there's massive travel costs involved ? As someone previously said Tres could now be available and would probably surpass out current reserves points hauls , also Nico Covatti no longer has a team in this country , not sure if we could fit him in though ? So there are options out there and before anyone asks who available plenty of other teams seem to be able to find riders easily enough . I wait , not holding my breath though in anticipation of some kind of positive move by our promotion ! ( It ain't gonna happen is it , too many other non Witches related distractions and no spine to sack those who don't deserve to wear the race jacket ) -

The team has so much potential but is seriously underachieving! Does Chris Louis want to be successful? If so he will make changes, if not then he won't. Simple really. I'd definitely bet a few bob he doesn't! -

Super Blue replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Having just got home , upon reflection " How sh1te was that tonight ? It must be one of the most pathetic , inept performances I have ever witnessed at Foxhall . Simply god awful ! Let's take a look at the riders individually , Richie W , a decent return for your no1 , no real complaints . Ritchie H , good score for the night , no issues here . Morten , another good score , as we've come to expect this season . Now the rest ! Gino , not as convincing as of late , maybe a tad unlucky not to get more . Rohan , disappointing evening , poor overall and very hit and miss . Cam , generally shocking , what the hell has happened to him this season ? Adam , equally shocking I'm afraid , not pushed on at all this year ! Much as it pains me to say this a change or two really does need to be made ! We have at least 2 seriously underperforming riders which is shown clearly by the fact that we are under the points limit . So , if Chris Louis is actually serious about wanting to have a winning team he needs do something about it !!!!!! Loyalty to your team is admirable but pee'd off supporters are not going to keep coming back and pay their hard earned to watch garbage ! Just my opinion . Once again full credit to Glasgow who probably deserved to win on the night . -

Well, I don't think I've ever seen such a quiet thread for an Ipswich home meeting! Where are all the predictions and opinions then? Anyway, in the stadium on a beautiful summer evening looking forward to some speedway, home win by between 10 and 20 for me. -

Paulco, can't help on the bus front I'm afraid, don't use the things. As far as the bald one and myself are concerned we tend to reside in the back straight stand dead in line with the starting gate, it's a good view. Catch up with you later. -

Thought I'd put my congratulations on here for Gino Manzares making the American world cup team . Fully deserving as he has already made himself a firm favourite at Foxhall with the fans and upped his average in the process . Well done Gino , hope it all goes well for you ! -

If you're coming down Paulco you will definitely see a marked improvement in the facilities at Foxhall of which the updating is still ongoing. Feel free to give myself or Baldyman a shout if you make it as it's always good to meet other forum members. On the meeting front I'm expecting (sorry hoping) for a reasonably comfortable home win. Alot could depend on which Richie Worrall turns up, if it's the (lets break the tapes in ht1) version you may have a sniff, you never know. Also the form of Cam Heeps and Adam Ellis has been erratic of late. Let's just hope for a decent meeting with some good racing and everyone staying safe. -

No , CL is at pretty much at everyone of the Sky meetings but not the Eurosport ones . Anyway , as a side issue , does anyone know if Richie Worrall is going to be back for the Glasgow meeting or will he still be recuperating with his broken toes ? -
Remember the most important thing today is a Woofy win! But if that's not possible ABP ( anyone but Pedersen )
