  1. Massive queue, down to the end of the car park - reckon the start's going to be delayed
  2. Good to hear from you again Neil, hope you can still get to watch some speedway this year. Will be a lot less stressful, ATB
  3. Beat Kennett at House & took Morley from the back 2 or 3 times. Was a bit wild on his debut, but later was so smooth & stylish - you'll love watching him next year I promise
  4. Spot on HT - Was my favourite rider last year - will achieve 4.00 to 6.00 IMHO
  5. The Vortex Hammers have announced that their Press and Practice will take place at The Arena Essex Raceway on Thursday 13th April, starting at 1pm, with members of the public also welcome to come along to see the new look Hammers. Along with meeting the invited press, the Hammers team will pose for photographs, and will be taking to the track for additional practice ahead of the Season opening challenge meeting against local rivals The Eastbourne Eagles which takes place the following day, Good Friday, the 14th of April (tapes up 1pm) Hammers Co-Promoter Jon Cook added Were really looking forward to the new season, its going to be a fun, exciting time, and all the boys looking forward to meeting the fans and getting on with the action! We will be also be using the final practice to make our decision on our remaining number seven position. As we mentioned at our Fans Forum, both Kelvin and I are looking at a number of riders for the remaining seat, and wanted to see the guys in action on the track, and their set up off it, as well as looking at averages. Ahead of Press and Practice, the club have arranged a meet the riders night which takes place on Friday 7th April in the Garden Suite at The Park Inn hotel starting at 7pm. Further details will confirmed http://www.lakesidehammers.co/press-practice-announced/
  6. My wife booked a holiday near Scarborough, but unfortunately Lakeside's match at Coventry was rearranged for the same day we set off Dropped the family off, then went to Coventry & back that evening - After a fracticious return, they enjoyed the rest of the holiday so I managed to get away with it 😀
  7. Still hope yet - Carmarthen Dragons have named 5x500cc riders on their Twitter feed
  8. Think his uncle's just keeping him out of mischief
  9. Arguement over the format according to speedway star. SCB trying to impose NJL format on MDL, 2x500cc & 2x125cc riders, whilst MDL want to keep old format
  10. Finally... UPDATE | National League fixtures to be released mid-morning Tuesday. Keep checking our website. From SGB Twitter
  11. Ellis Perks is the final signing - great that Buxton have got a competitive side this season
  12. If you get a chance Dean, mechanic for Danny Ayres. Although he's relatively new to the sport, he's old school & the majority of supporters love him because of that
  13. Problem is everyone trying to get that edge, certainly can improve your mental strength - can only seeing it getting more popular TBH One of my favourite FB pictures was Darcy, after his ban, in the gym looking totally lost - got so much stick from other riders
  14. One each & R/R each - makes perfect sense really Could have Rose taking a R/R for Lambert against Lambert taking a R/R for Rose

  16. Superb promotion by Barry & Co. Once again Taken from the Warriors FB: "Today the Wightlink Warriors announced the Bring My Classmates scheme for Warriors to invite their entire class and their classmates parents to be guests of the Wightlink Warriors. The scheme will enable any school class from any school on the island to come and visit the Warriors to watch speedway on one occasion during the 2017 season. Steph Whitlock from the Warriors said, "This is a wonderful opportunity for students of all ages to experience the Warrior Way with their classmates. This is a fun time to be part of the club with lots of activities for kids and this for sure will introduce new people to this great sport. Who knows this could be the next generation of Warriors." Commercial Director Barry Bishop added, "This scheme, to bring your class, is an amazing offer to pupils and their families on the Isle of Wight. The idea behind the scheme is to further spread the news that the Warriors fun packed family nights out are quite simply the best family fun on a Tuesday or Thursday night and that speedway is an amazing family sport. We know that we compete with many other attractions and entertainment for kids on the Island but we also know that once through the door most want to return to watch and support the Wightlink Warriors. We know this type of offer will be a success, we tested it last year to see if it would be viable for 2017 and the result was that we cannot wait to welcome your class to the Warriors." For more details please email speedwayontheisland@yahoo.co.uk"
