  1. Are you going to still be local tomorrow evening for the meeting or are you heading home?
  2. I'm surprised we couldn't get anyone to guest. I know it's very very short notice.
  3. It's like fn autumn here today Literally picking up stuff from my garden this morning that had blown over in the gales. Climate change deniers begone.
  4. He caught my eye too with his first couple of rides but then I noticed he didn't change lines at all, irrespective of where anyone else was. Not trying to be over critical of a novice but he'd really have impressed if he had tried a Plan B at any time. Obviously that would come with experience. Fact is Foord looked a better bet than Pijper today.
  5. Nae chance this is on. Been raining pretty much constantly for about 24 hours, and only predicted to continue.
  6. This has got to be currently in the doubtful category, unless it clears up soon, and the weather forecast is wrong. One of those things is always pretty likely, but I'm not sure it's the former.
  7. That's an interesting question. There must be an SCB/FIM determined position for transponders, which you'd think the machine examiner would need to double check. I wasn't in line. I'm on the 3rd bend, but I thought Harris got 3rd. Before being accused of wearing red tinted specs, I also thought Smith lost a 3rd in an earlier heat too.
  8. What caught my eye about Leon was that he wasn't very smooth. I sit at the 3rd bend and he seemed to be making a helluva lot of effort, whilst others, such as Jimmy P, appeared to be nice and smooth. Obviously I wasn't taping everyone and analysing them in detail, but it caught my eye. As the 3rd bend is my usual perch I must compliment the track staff on whatever they've done to the 3rd bend. The racing tonight was just fantastic. I didn't think Ashfield could get any better. Jeezo, that Ashton Boughen looks a prospect. He's a bit "watch him through yer fingers" but boy has the lad got some speed.
  9. Is this your own personal opinion? Just checking.
  10. Apologies, I forgot I volunteered to post "no, we don't stream" at the start of every home meeting thread. Must do better.
  11. Aye I see that now, cheers. Nice of the Monarchs to keep the Tigers fans updated......(sarcasm).
  12. Very poor that this is announced first by the opposition....... https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/match-centre/fixture/2024-04-12/glasgow/edinburgh
  13. I'm looking forward to seeing what the (anticipated) club statement will be today. Might be "treading water" of course but I wonder if they'll publicly give Lee their 100% backing.
  14. Hypothetically, in your opinion, should a meeting be rerun if a failed test ever turned out to be inaccurate?
  15. Aye, fair enough, I was reaching for that straw to clutch..... https://britishspeedway.co.uk/miscellaneous/scb-statement-plymouth-v-berwick-2/
  16. Eh......anyone shed some light to this alarming news?
