  1. Hope it's not off adam has driven overnight from lonigo in Italy. Including only having 4 gears on his van since Munich !
  2. Heh. I know what you mean about Italy. I had Simon cross call me today and say that it always has been a gaters paradise
  3. Adam will be there. Lonigo should finish around midnight and its a long overnight drive back . One bike needs to be straightened out after a big off here in France last night. ( if you follow him in twitter check out his wrecked crash helmet) front end bent, wheel wrecked, one new silencer trashed and a very sore Adam.
  4. Spoiled by dust ???? I think we were at different meetings, I didn't see any dust.
  5. Branford may have felt hard done by but made no attempt to get off the track at all, maybe his refusal to budge had some bearing on the refs decision. Also shouting in the pits afterwards that if he was going to get excluded for that next time he'll just "ride straight through the c**t" may not be the cleverest thing to do as they are both young riders who may be riding together for Great Britain in years to come All in all a good day and congratulations must go to the Ipswich track staff for preparing a very good racing surface that had riders passing all over the place.
  6. Riders with much more experience than him screwed up that day. Read the reports on the individual meetings thread. That meeting should never have gone ahead
  7. Us IOW fans are hoping for a lot of that this season
  8. Sort of "If you don't like it we'll take our ball away " Get over it. You won, sheesh
  9. oops! Well done the Islanders, great team effort. Let's hope there's lots more to come.
  10. Michael Neale, 16 is replacing Byron Bekker for today's match. Bringing the average age of the team down to 19. Is this a record ?
  11. I wasn't doing the "dad" bit. Just pointing out maybe what the previous poster may have meant. I won't post any more just bow to your superior knowledge. Maybe you could offer him your expert advice on where it went wrong then ?
  12. Maybe he meant he's a 17 year old kid with only half a dozen premier league meetings under his belt and has never even seen the track before ? I see the doom merchants are starting already
  13. I was hoping the updates sight would give us an idea of the meeting other than the score but the comments are about as useful as a cock flavoured lollipop Edit..... coke flavoured
  14. Why. What were they supposed to do ? Slow down and wait for you guys to catch up ???
  15. Doh!! Empty post. Adams were built and are maintained by Matt Read. He and his wife Claire have been an awesome help from the end of last year.
  16. Read my post about racers not being able to see. If the meeting had gone ahead and a rider had ended up in a wheelchair ( or worse) who's fault would it have been then ? Until you've been in that position you can't really comment. It all looks so easy from the other side of the fence.
  17. I can only add one comment from a riders point of view as I actually raced sidecars all over europe in the 90's,Tracks may look rideable, and if you're in first place without spray / mud / shale / sand etc ... to a certain extent they are, however Imagine going into a corner at full speed, you bang it sideways , you can hear a bike in front of you, you can hear a bike next to you, in fact all you can do is hear other bikes but because of the crap flying off the bike in front clogging your goggles, you cant see any of them, you also can't see the inside of the track, the outside of the track or indeed anything at all. Phil morris had that at La Reole longtrack in the 90's. He said to me, "i didn't know exactly where i was, i thought i'd turned enough in the corner, maybe even a bit too much, so i gassed it"........ that was about half a second before he slammed into the outside fence breaking quite a few bones. Still think riders bottle it ?
  18. yup, won one heat , one last bend crash whilst fighting for the lead, and two offs on a track that the home side refused to do their P&P day on as they deemed it too dangerous. The meeting should never have gone ahead.
