  1. In the mid 90’s I used to race at a weekend supercoss / speedway meeting in the Munich Olympic-halle ( the massive indoor velodrome stadium next to the main Olympic stadium.) 8-10,000 people watching. The speedway was on late afternoon / early evening, the floor was boarded over with wood and we were all supplied with Metzeler road tyres … they sponsored the event, lights / loud music/ lasers the lot. For the evening event they wheeled in all the jumps / berms etc made out of wood for the track set up ( it took about 1/2 hour). The meeting was just as you’d expect with the riders disappearing into the stands under the seating, racing around corridors and appearing on the other side of the stadium. Brilliant mental stuff. It was great fun, ( paid well), there was no expensive temporary track to be installed and apparently the supercross berms / jumps could be used at other events. it’s not rocket science.
  2. That tends to happen when riders are left in the dark …
  3. I think just regular drug tests would see a few riders retiring quite quickly. Speedway is incredibly backwards in more ways than one.
  4. He’s not the only rider to have known *sniff substance issues
  5. More to the point, will they have any riders ?
  6. Loyalty works both ways. Are riders supposed to sit around waiting for the UK to pull its fingers out of its derrière ? it’s their job, not a hobby.
  7. As usual ….inside information found in the bottom of a bottle.
  8. He won’t be riding unfortunately. But I’ll be there to cheer them on anyway.
  9. Funny how I supposedly hate Poole yet I spent the afternoon with Matt Ford and his wife here in France.
  10. Adam scored over his average. Not sure how you worked out that he cost them the match.
  11. Having worked in the hospitality industry for 25 years it never ceases to amaze me how on the big day, when everyone should be on point. British speedway always manages to shoot themselves in the foot…. Every bloody time. forget the stupid, flash banners and just get the bare basics right….. it’s not rocket science. if you can’t do the basics to cater for your paying clients in the 21st century. Step aside or pay someone professional to do it for you.

  13. These kind of videos need to be shared wider. The fun side of having different nationalities in speedway. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1AkGxoSrVE/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  14. If Dan can get the scaphoid plated and screwed it’ll be 4-6 weeks.
  15. I dislocated my left hip in a grass track accident in Germany in 96, it was put back in by the hospital and I raced again 3 weeks later. I’m not saying it will be the same for Jason, but I don’t think it will be in the frame of several months out of the game.
  16. Looking forward to this one. I arrive in the uk at 09:30 on Monday morning so hoping to get there for it.
  17. Brexit has thrown up all sorts of problems. Adam travels on his French passport and was refused entry once as he’d passed the 90 days in 180 rule…… luckily he also had his uk passport with him too and was waved through after the original confusion.
