  1. Well, your wish has been granted because Swindon have Anders Rowe!
  2. Yes, but you said every PL team should have an U21 Brit; and surely that should start in the CL, with teams like Poole setting an example rather than signing three 4 point Aussies?
  3. You mean like in the Poole CL team, Aussie, Aussie, Aussie.
  4. So people who disagree with you are muppets?
  5. I think you’re over rating Swindon and under rating Peterborough! For me, Boro is the strongest team, with everyone having the potential to add a point.
  6. Isn’t he 5.8 PL after his Swindon stint?
  7. Yes. They don’t seem to affect Nicol though. Becker has also signed in Poland. Or maybe not?
  8. 8.8 CL or 5.5 PL. The only clear choice from last season’s PL would be Luke Becker.
  9. There’ll be even less noise this season while we have a minute’s silence before each match for ...... Poole.
  10. Very disappointing for everyone but probably a blessing in disguise for Somerset given his average.
  11. Agreed. Ipswich (Crump dropping his average) and KL (a bit uninspiring) might turn out slightly weaker than the others but all in all it could well be close between all seven teams. Boro look worth a bet ahead of Swindon.
  12. Agreed. Considering the norm for new GP riders in the recent past has been 8, Crump should be 7.
  13. Little upside? One of the greatest riders ever is returning to the sport. If he can do well or even only entertain, what’s not to like?
  14. Are you kidding? Those two signings, for different reasons, should be incentives to go and support your club!
  15. And don’t forget, Wolves have enticed back Masters and Thorsell.
  16. Looking at Crump’s scores in the recent test series in Australia he was on a par with Heaps and Bewley whose PL averages are almost identical 6.3 and 6.31. I think 7 would be fair and worth the risk for both Boro and the league as a whole for the likely publicity and crowd pulling power.
  17. Why? He was clearly going well down hill before he retired, whereas Crump was still well on his game and has just showed in Aus that he’s still good.
  18. Of course it’s a question of “what ifs”; isn’t one of the skills to pick improvers, which is a “what if” prediction?
  19. You say that now, but what if your choice (Scott Nichols?) and the alternatives have a terrible start to the season and are clearly on the slide, and Nicol puts two points on his average? It’s not as if there were obvious alternatives to replace the other six.
  20. Is that right? I thought everyone instantly wanted to know why, especially with her being such a public figure.
