Not quite the same, and not the first time, but Rene Bach is guesting for Ipswich against Peterborough this Good Friday afternoon and then guesting for Panthers against the itches at the EOES in the evening. Unfortunately I'm afraid it won't be the last time. ONLY in speedway!

Somerset V Peterborough (lc) 11/4/14

Didn't you mean typical Peterborough procedure -
I'd sooner have Crump and Tapp for the rest of the series, at least they are not biased like Pearson. Lets also have a bit more of Scott as well

So, is Kennett a contracted Brummie or Rocket. I feel that the track who owns him should have priority whatever the event. Is there a list that shows who owns who. Knowing the BSPA they'll keep it under wraps to confuse eveyone else like they confuse themselves. I don't know who owns Blackbird and Jacobs either, but no matter what, whichever club is the owner of a rider, the club should have the final say on which team he rides for when fixtures clash. Well done to the Elite League, they've managed, at last, after many years of trying, to put a spanner into the Premier League, which has always been run the best. I hope it still manages to. Tell the Elite League to sod off!

He didn't give much information when we were waiting 45 minutes for the air fence to be repaired, but then, he was only one of around twenty people milling around doing nothing. Oh!for somebody like Mike Bennett or Kevin Long, who really interact with the crowd. Craig Saul just isn't capable of doing the same, and IMO he can only read off his notes. Nothing is spontaneous. He gabbles so quickly you can't understand him, and he should be replaced by one of the other two. Even Peter York is better!!

I don't see Swales as hilarious, just a bloody idiot

So what does PG stand for?

You and me alike. Can never understand why the media almost always state short distances in metres yet still talk in miles and not kilometres. I always calculate in imperial and fahrenheit but not centigrade (celcius). Hopefully we never go over to kilometres.

I honestly think Rick was intending to to carry on, but something happened at the AGM again, and I thinkPanthers got shafted again in some way. Look at Rossiter's twitter and he said the meeting was worse than ever with a lot of shouting going on. We will probably never know as usual, it's just a shame that fans are never told the full and correct story.

I can't see a NL rider improving by riding against others of the same standard. They should move up to the PL first, not jump a league. It's purely a cost cutting exercise by the EL "promoters". And if you think you'll be seeing Wolves every week, then you really are in cloud cuckoo land.
-
I'm glad Panthers have been saved, and also glad we're out the EL, with all it's two and three week breaks (and not all do to the Showground I might add).Never wanted to go up in the first place, although we did have some good years, and a few excellent ones). It will be a change to have almost regular weeks racing, knowing which day, and not having to guess!

October, if the weather is OK, is one of the best months, especially at the EofES, when moisture is retained in the track surface. Makes for plenty of passing, which is not something you get a lot of on hard dry surfaces anywhere
-
I agree, but no offence to Richard, (who was OK in 2006) but I hope it's someone who's had better form over the last few years. They have got the team building wrong ever since Rick was here, so hopefully they have learnt, but I doubt it. It already looks a long shot for the play-offs, or whatever

My point is: Why do we have to read it on another website. We are always slow with any news. Any publicity is good publicity no matter what.Take for instance our last place to be filled. It wouldn't hurt to put a few names about to get interest. Are we trying for someone like Niemenen for example, or the Dryml's (mind you how they've been mucked about in the past they will probably put two fingers up!) You have to work at promoting.

I see on Plymouth's website that Panthers are in their cup group. Would be nice to know from our lot, but it looks like, once again, Panthers fans are kept in the dark. Thought it might be different this season, but what a hope. When will Panthers management realise that working the way they do, in secret, they alienate everyone, and then they wonder why attendances keep dropping.

Bit like Peterborough, everything but admission goes to the EoES, and has done for a long time since the regime changed about ten years ago. Up till then speedway was viable, but when something is run by the clueless then common sense and fair play go out the window.

Belle Vues National Speedway Stadium
crazyb replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well, if it doesn't go, than there is a speedway track doing nothing since the AGM that would be ideal, probably in the top five tracks in the world, and ideally situated in the middle of the country. Come on BSPA, why not try the possibilities with the owners. Would save a lot of money as well -
British Speedway Promoters Meeting
crazyb replied to dantodan's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Can't agree more, lets go with British riders and forget all the GP boys, we've done it before and we can do it again. And while on about the GP's, if it is true that BSI/IMG pay over $1,000,000 a year to that load of c**p called the FIM, who are not interested in speedway, why can't they instead put that money into grass roots speedway. -
If I needed any reason for walking away from speedway then that three and a half hours of 22 heats (almost ten minutes per heat) did it for me. FIM, or whoever it is, pull yourselves together, and cut down the time wasted by riders, who are the biggest offenders. I could have seen over forty heats at grasstrack in the time it took to complete this meeting.

Somerset V Ipswich Monday 16/9
crazyb replied to oldtimer's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What is the difference between Barker, Doyle and Craig Cook. How was it that Cook rode for his PL side and missed Belle Vue, but the opposite happened with the other two. Both meetings were re-arranged so what have I missed, or was it something to do with Poole and Sky again!
