Why shouldn't the championship (second division) have top riders, it's better than the premiership anyway. Instead of arguing over averages, do away with them completely. It was always better that way, even with rider control. But I doubt that the present BSPA could organise that.

I can't see what troublesome false situation arnieg has invented. The only ramification which would be discussed at the AGM is if Godfrey has been found the guilty party, then his place as vice-chairman on the committee is no longer viable. Alternately, if Rathbone was deemed to be, the only difference to now is that his licence would probably be terminated permanently. So why can't a statement be issued so that supporters of the two clubs would know their fate.

The main difference was having two heat leaders from the Championship at reserve for Leicester, and one a guest! If they had NL riders at 6 and 7 there would have been a big difference. That shows the farce of the thing. AND will Bjerre be riding for Leicester next week. Perhaps Nicholls will swap sides as well. All adds up to the joke

There are eight weeks of the season left, for christs sake, why not wait until October when most riders should be available. Forget the play-offs, neither side is going to make them. I agree, apart from gardening, but the two things that have stopped me from going is the TR and double-uppers-downers. The TR to me is just like It's a knockout, and when you see a Joker card brought out in the World team Cup (or whatever it's called), then what more is there to say.
