Think we could have done with drew at reserve for this one.Hope our top five are on form from the off we need to get points on the board if we are going to live upto the favourites tag. -
Sheffield Vs Scunthorpe CS 31/03/2019

Decent first home meeting in the shield . Good win against a spirited Scunthorpe team who had 8 heat winners to our 7. The special K s were good value. King Kennedy and Kemp Better racing than last week on a race track . Think we will get better with more meetings.Kemp and Kennedy were really good on their debuts and it shouldn't make too much difference when they swap positions.Great start to the campaign and once Andersson and Proctor get their partnership together we should be formidable.. Score line should have been bigger but for our bad luck but a win is a win.Well done to all the team. Great interviews in the bar after which is a good idea . -

First bend out of bounds for most of season I think.I don't mind us winning by 10 points as long as it's not as boring as last Sunday's meeting. If the track is like that every week the crowds will drop off and I can't see the riders been too happy either. -

A lot will depend on what the track is like, make it slick like last week and we might struggle and racing will be poor ,prepare it grippy and we should get some good racing and I would expect a good home win.If there's any new steelers fans attending and racing is boring then all the time and effort our promotors have put in will have been a waste of time.Lets hope for a good home win with some decent racing. -
Glad to see a good crowd yesterday for an event well promoted by our promotors. While it was good to get the season started I think the track wasn't conducive for good racing. When our riders went out for some dirt they went backwards. It looked like it needed more shale on to provide a better dirt line.We also had the blue groove on the bends which we've not seen for a while. I hope we going to get a better surface for our lads because yesterday was a bit processional and our lads are a team of racers not gaters .

First meeting of the season is finally here and we've got a sunny Sunday .Lets hope for an injury free season and a successful one.Looking at the line up it should be a cracking meeting but I'm very surprised that Josh Bates isn't in it.Surely he would have been a better choice than Simon lambert ?? Roll on 4 pm
-
Good to see 3 of our boys getting track time at the Ben meeting .Danny proving his fitness is a massive bonus for us and getting 3rd overall should be a big confidence booster for him.Zaine getting a race win and Kasper a solid 6 is a good start for both lads too.

Sheffield v Glasgow is hardly regional too !! -
Sorry. Misread it. 23 rd even better should be bit warmer

June 4 th weekend could be a good time to do Somerset and Eastbourne no rush back for Sunday meeting ?
-
Hope we can get a couple of home meetings in before the 14 th April and get our season under way. Possibly a challenge and a league or cup meeting !!
-
If Drew Kemp has only one meeting at reserve and then goes into the main body of the team then he may struggle.Hope he doesn't for our sake.Danny King needs to come back strong from injury.zaine needs to hit the ground running and we need Broc to get his bikes sorted. If that happens we have a good side. It looks exciting on paper but we need to do it on track.
-
Not sure about the numbers but what I do know is he lives near me and when he was interviewed by Nigel Pearson last Wednesday evening they were the reasons he gave for signing for Sheffield Simple as that.
-
I would think a valid excuse from Ty.When he lives one mile away from the sheffield track why would he want to travel all the way to Workington and back for home meetings? The big bonus for him is he will get paid every week as well.No brainer !!!!
-
I would expect Kyle and Broc to fill last two places. If that’s the case I can see u lining up with King Kennedy Anderson Proctor Howarth Nicol Kemp hopefully we get no injuries and can win silverware. King said he should be fully fit for start of the season and if he can score big from the off and new lads settle quick we should be fine. Broc could do with a good mechanic behind him as Steady said he’d had carburettor problems at the back end of last season and it took a while for him to work it out.
-
Proctor would be a good signing and lives local so a logical signing.can we choose who to have at reserve Zaine or Broc ?
-
When Berge rode for us Steady couldn't get near him once he'd gated.Away is his problem he doesn't go too well at most tracks. Then again if he dropped to reserve he could well be a trump card.
-
Happy with that. So he can't be riding in Poland then as been previously posted !! Possibly Kyle and Danny King to join us now .
-
Can't see it been Lawson after he was lined up to come last season then went for more money elsewhere ? More chance of King as he's had some good performances at Sheffield over the years but not been too hot in the recent past from what I can remember
-
No.Dont think sheffield is a favourite track of his.
-
I hope we don’t put Drew under pressure to be expected to score big point not too long ago J P B was going to be next best thing and that went pear shape. Hopefully Drew will have a better team round him and is given time to develop. We need someone at reserve with him to take pressure off
-
After the brilliant signing of Drew it would be good to get Danny king in as it might help Drew to settle quicker.A fully fit King would be a good choice my only worry would be how fit is he after last season? King Zaine Drew and I expect Kyle to be back would give us about 22.85 and leave around 15.15 for the last 3. Broc on a 4 possibly still leaves 11!!!!

Shane’s does grass and longtrack Sunday’s doesn’t he ? Where has drew been confirmed as a tiger ?

Championship and Poland

No complaints at Sheffield it must be down to good business sense unlike other clubs .If you can't afford it don't offer it that's just logic .
