  1. I think Schlein would tick a lot of boxes for Brum, knows the riders and promotion well, good out of the gate and Birmingham is a smallish track and he knows how to defend a line, a name everyone is familiar with and wouldn't be breaking the bank. On a good average for Brum too
  2. Last time I saw Schlein at PB, he was whinging about the amount of water they'd put down before the meeting. Mind you, he did the track walk in flip flops...
  3. Given the amount of money that Tolley has been happy to burn, affording the riders won't be a concern, it's convincing a top rider that Birmingham is a place to be to be competitive in every meeting and in with a shout of a title
  4. Apart from commentary, has Sam been involved in speedway to the extent that he would be a good choice for a manager? If his last job was nearly 20yrs years ago at Reading, it seems a really odd choice to me
  5. Ermolenko is just a 'name' signing, same as Rooney at Birmingham City
  6. Has KK been mentioned yet....?? Maybe
  7. No point in having the top riders if you can't park anywhere or see the track when you get there
  8. Basically a Championship League but with BV. Should get the crowds flocking back.
  9. Just read his Facebook page, smacks of arrogance. T00L.
  10. Well I can't see the BSPA helping out, most of the clubs are bordering skint and it's only the riders that seem to do OK out of the sport, so why not? If I was a rider I'd be happy to pay a small amount to prove I was clean and to know others were too
  11. How about take a small percent out of riders earnings to cover the cost? If they can afford cocaine, I'm sure they can afford the test...
  12. Tbh, is anybody actually surprised at the statement and the punishments? Boxhall has previous and in the eyes of the BSPA, just another rider. Worrall on the other hand is one of the better riders and a heat leader at most clubs, do we think the the lenient punishment has anything to do with losing a 'top' rider? Morris must be feeling very narked and hard done by with these punishments, tho his ban should have been a yardstick for Boxhall and Worrall.
  13. It's just the fact that meetings are trying to be ran in October but nobody learns, nothing changes.
  14. Sadly, the more the BSPA try to give the leagues and cup competitions credibility, the less it actually does...
  15. Until people just stop going at this time of year, clubs will keep trying to run meetings and let folks travel/enter without a 2nd thought.
  16. Too much time on your hands mate, but genius all the same!
  17. Tbf, he knew about these issues before he took over.
