Rib and back pain is being mentioned. PS it was announced at the end of meeting presentations that Fraser had texted from Poole Hospital that injuries did not appear as bad as first thought! PPS Danny Ford apologised for the track conditions this evening - they put too much shale down and then overwatered.

Similar reason why Ritchings is missing!!

I complained about the Scunthorpe stream earlier this season and was told that its due to 'a poor Wi-Fi signal'!! Whilst I appreciate that wi-fi can vary considerably across the country, Scunthorpe still charge the same amount as most other clubs ie £13.99, so you would think there might be some sort of discount............?

Masters is a heat leader for Leicester! -
From Fraser Bowes 𝙐𝙋𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙀 Hi everyone, I thought I’d jump on and explain why I haven’t been at the last two matches this week. On Tuesday, while fitting a new engine, I was struck directly in the eye by an exhaust spring under load. I was taken to the eye emergency department at Bournemouth Hospital, where I was diagnosed with a deep traumatic corneal abrasion. The injury has left me with a bloodshot eye that is light sensitive and has been causing headaches. At the moment, all I can really do is rest, but there are improvements each day. I’m aiming to be back for Wednesday’s match against Oxford, and I can’t thank Ian and Nicola Bell enough for all their help and support during this situation.

Will is already nursing a sore wrist so hope he's up for 7 rides?! If there is a positive in this situation, Cooper should stay at reserve for longer - at least for the Glasgow meeting on 27/05!! -

Matt Ford said at P&P that Poole would never rule out Premiership racing in the future, BUT 2 things would need to be in place - 1) a decent TV contract, and 2) being allowed to race home meetings on Wednesdays. Also assuming a sensible points limit he would love to track a Pirates team containing both Holders and both Cook brothers😇 -

Well that's the first meeting I've seen, for a while -live or streamed - where I've agreed with every referee decision. Well done Pirates, let's hope no further injuries for Friday. -

I wonder if we'll get round 2 of the Ritchings/Newman 'love in' this evening?😂 -
If you rent a stadium, as Poole do, then the costs of putting on any event on any day of the week are the same as for a Pirates meeting on a Wednesday. Poole don't get any income from the stadium. No parking fees, no food and Beverage revenue. Their only revenue comes from admissions, programme ads and sales, sponsorship and banner ads, so they have to be reasonably confident of the meeting being popular enough to get a decent crowd even with a reduced entry fee because its NDL-level. The Pairs on a Saturday in August can be planned well in advance to ensure most of the stadium staff (stewards, bar staff etc)are available and not committed to working at/attending AFC Bournemouth as several do,
