When one considers that Louis is one of the 2 Premiership promoters on the 'top BSPL table' of 4, it seems unlikely that he hasn't had his way on a number of issues that sees the sport where it is today. For once it seems that the Prem haven't got their way and now Ippo -' a well run, profitable club' by all accounts - are seeking a new owner. Surely any prospective (or existing) promoters will be forming an orderly queue at Louis' door?!

As a matter of interest, what national messages or campaigns would you expect a marketing company to promote? ( asking for Harry...!!)

Louis states he will do his best to ensure the club continues 'in safe hands'! Shame he couldn't ask the fans their preference!

Not sure how long you've been a speedway follower, but Poole won everything there was to be won in the Elite/Premiership days and benefitted from very good sponsorship which helped to fund the likes of the Holders, Kurtz, Ward etc. However they latterly were losing money, and were let down 'big time' by a sponsor mid-season. They asked the fans what they preferred - Premiership on Mons/Thurs or Championship on their traditional racenight of Wednesdays? The latter was the resounding result and as Matt Ford stated publicly at the time, allowed the club to cut its operating costs by around 30%. Since then the club has been 'ticking over' as Danny Ford reported only last week!

To be fair to Tobias, towards the end of the season he did lose a mechanic as well as one of his sponsored engines, so he was a little 'underpowered'! A great entertainer though especially on his home track!

All 7 are sorted subject to any uncertainty over the 40 points limit which of course is dependant on the same number of teams! Danny likes to stagger the announcements over an extended period of time to get maximum regional publicity, usually all before Christmas, but this time it may carry over til mid January.!!😉

Aside from the comparison of indoor vs outdoor sports, is there a huge financial prize for winning the Basketball or Ice Hockey leagues/cups as they also don't generate much publicity nationally? As for getting better crowds than speedway that's as much to do with plusher, comfortable indoor stadia and the reliability of a regular fixture list - unless the ice melts of course!😉

Didn't Mr Bates state that the club was in a good stable position for any new owner, and his reason for stepping away was the pressure of other work away from speedway?

If, as has been suggested, Sheffield and/or Leicester have been refused to join the Championship, how would they be able to contribute to afford underwriting any losses of a Poole or Glasgow forced to join the Premiership?

Also if an extra club wanted to join the Championship it would undoubtedly mean a change to the agreed 40point limit!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Phil Morris brought in as CEO of the Premiership!? With no TV deal apparantly and only 5 (possibly 4) Prem teams, isn't there a potential cost saving there for the BSPL?
