Oxford's issue (if it is indeed an issue) in stepping up is with the costs and security of tenure of the stadium. Poole's issue, other than those previously aired, is also stadium-related, especially with the passing of Clarke Osborne! Poole Stadium Ltd (plus all the other companies registered at Wimborne Road) now has only one active director - Mrs Susan Osborne! It'll be interesting to see if she wishes to carry on? As I understand it there is still 14 years left on the Stadium lease with the Council so it just means more short-term uncertainty requiring clarification before any major speedway changes or decisions are entered into. All clubs have a different base cost to run speedway - owning or renting the facilities; costs of same; level of sponsorship; attendance levels; other income streams; costs of riders etc etc. Thats why its not a simple question of 'operating at a higher level just to suit the minority'!

Probably for GPs and Premiership only!! Phil Morris with his Premiership-only remit will undoubtedly concentrate on Prem meetings and the British final (the latter having mainly Championship riders taking part!)

Both for Premiership?! Phil Morris only has a Premiership remit and Mr Coleman is primarily interested in GPs and Premiership fixtures. It's suggested elsewhere that the Prem and Championship should have separate administration/management like it was (successfully) back in the 80's in the old British and National leagues.

With AFC Bournemouth having Europa fixtures on Thursdays there is no way Poole will run on Thursdays. Added to that is the question mark over the longer term availability of Poole Stadium, more so after the recent passing of Mr Osborne!?

Surely having a TV deal - whether live or highlights- is also about what money comes to the clubs and whether it would be enough to make 2 additional clubs go Premiership, possibly on an 'off race day'!

The limit hasn't been 41 for at least 2xseasons. It's 40. Rumours of 38 in 2027 assuming same number of clubs.

After his second big crash (when leading!) he returned to the hospital for more tests as he was in extreme pain when trying to turn the bike. Following a second MRI scan, a previously undiagnosed spinal disc rupture injury was discovered. The medics (who missed it the first time) advised upto 6 months rest, so he informed the promotion (he was living at Matt Ford's) that he had to step down and return to Oz for proper recuperation and treatment.

Is getting a bad spinal injury failing?

So Poole's team average for October is 44.98. That's one helluva lot to shave off for 2027 assuming the rumoured 38 point limit happens. That's even taking account of any 2.5% Brit discount!!
