Similar to Poole. I'm led to believe a structural design was done and costed to widen the Poole track into the old greyhound track. The considerable six figure costs were impossible to justify without security of tenure of the stadium.

The riders requested the small bowser after the mid-meeting issues last week. Many riders don't like watering during the meeting after they've got their set-ups right. Mid-meeting watering is as much to do with keeping dust levels controlled for the comfort of the crowds as it is for the riders. Several riders interviewed said how good the track was. Race times were reasonably consistent around the 59-60 sec in the early heats to 61-62 sec mark in the latter stages. Will Cairns tremendous win in heat 15 was 60.43 secs .

It'll be a missed opportunity if only the Prem clubs are mentioned imo! A graphic should also show the forthcoming meetings - where and when - that could 'flash up' on screen throughout the broadcast!

Oxford will have a much better choice of guests for Riss than Eddie. Expect to see a decent 6.5-7.0 pointer when they visit Poole next Wednesday.

Presumably Oxford can only use guests for Riss(7.57) now, but a wider choice for when they visit Poole next week eg Kemp, Barker....?

For any fans (and riders!) travelling to Wimborne Road today, the A31 is closed both ways from M27 to Ringwood following the New Forest fires at weekend. Diversions are signed but they may add up to 1 hour to your travel time.

The only slight issue is (god forbid) if he gets an injury then the choice of guests has diminished considerably.

If this is hopefully the first of several then I hope there will be some way to mention/publicise all forthcoming fixtures and tracks over the following week or so - Premiership and Championship at least.

According to the SS last Thursday, Poole's 75% of fixtures was up at Berwick on Saturday. BUT just because the club only announced the signing today doesn't mean the deal/contract wasn't done last week. In fact MF heavily hinted it at the home meeting last Wednesday v Edinburgh.
