Spoke to Nic when he popped into the Poole office and I happened to be there. You do know he spoke with Danny b4 the season started but his gsa was too high along with his Danish commitments to take the risk. There were some fun times when he rode for Poole.😆

Its more about ensuring the stadium can provide their staff - many of whom have regular jobs elsewhere at weekends in clubs, bars, restaurants, security etc etc.

I've made this point before but what domestic OUTDOOR sport have the Hearns taken on and done well with. They have done excellent things with INDOOR, mainly INDIVIDUAL - or at best PAIRS - eg Darts, Snooker, Boxing. They have not done team or league sports run in outdoor venues that are subject to weather. OK get them interested in the FIM SGPs if you can but the likes of domestic speedway needs a different sort on entrepreneur. Hopefully Harry can attract someone from the Footie or Horse racing worlds - or are they just about the gambling opportunities? OR maybe the name Pierfront Developments might start appearing? That would be a great 'hook'!!

Absolute bullrubbish! from the mid-eighties to 1999 Poole had one of the sports wealthiest owners in the late Mervyn Stewkesbury, together with an experienced back-up team including the old National League Administrators. The Fords took over in 1999 and spent 20years in the Premiership (Elite) winning it several times over, much to the chagrin of some of the more established owners/promoters. Of course crowds dropped a little when the team wasn't doing well - as is the case with ALL teams.
