  1. Yeah and Steve didn't miss any Poole meetings either.
  2. Poole's current team average is 2.52 points above the 42.00 team building limit. Nathan is a long term prospect and if replaced (he won't be imo) then what other 2 point rider would do better. Changing more than one rider at the same time would mean Poole would have to lose at least 2.52 points - best to stick with imo. Poole and Plymouth are the only 2 clubs using a 2 pointer at number 7. All other clubs have 4 or 5 point reserves so its a difficult challenge for any 2 pointer new to the Championship. Drew is not currently fully fit and probably lost a bit of confidence in recent weeks compared to his earlier season scores, BUT Poole only lost by 4 points so its not a major problem as long as they can get the starts back to earlier standards.
  3. Carrying injuries certainly doesn't help either his confidence or his actual racing. He does seem to like to stick to the inside rather than risk the outside lines, but that may be just down to the confidence thing. Drew is the guest on next Wednesday's (June 15) edition of PirateCastLive at 7pm (as the Pirates don't have a meeting) so maybe chat to him about any issues....!
  4. Woah whats happened to the original thread? Last night I gave my congrats to the Lions for a deserved win and I switch on this morning and its all gone!
  5. I guess that when Joe Thompson drops back to reserve for July (he looked well off the pace last night) and Dan goes into the 1-5 there may be some different results
  6. With no Starke and Danny King struggling with bike issues and lack of speed, I reckon Ippo might struggle....?!
  7. Maybe the fans should camp out at the stadium with their 'Save Our Speedway' placards?! OR generate some protests of support for the Robins that the local media can get involved with? Stir up the public fans reactions............
  8. It suits him, his young family and mechanic to be based at a Northern club.
  9. The stadium is still in regular use for greyhounds several times a week and it is still the registered head office of G.I.
  10. Not surprising considering his UK base!! I bet the phoneline to Matt Ford has been red hot!
  11. As some have already said 'the track came to the riders in the latter stages'! Not sure that would have stopped older TV viewers from switching channels at 9pm to The Prime Minister's Confidence vote result OR any younger viewers switching to Love Island?
  12. It could be both but it's the constant banging of the same tune that grates.
  13. Poole fans got fed up continually winning the Premiership/Elite league so are just trying something different and better. Their only issue is the future of the stadium.
  14. Can I hear that big negative drum being banged yet again? You must have very tired arms.
  15. Stevie is probably being ultra-cautious to be ready for the bigger fixture on Wednesday!!
  16. Do Lions fans really think they'll pay for Keleher to fly over from Oz, plus all his other costs, to fill a reserve place?????? He's not exactly proved himself so far has he?
  17. They've applied for a facility . doesn't mean they've got one. Rowe's June average is 3.95. Atkins ex Plymouth is available or a 2.00 NL rider? He,s riding for Ipswich tonight so hardly withholding his services.
  18. Don't get me wrong, the grass is great - as long as it doesn't get too long (BCP Council have a policy of letting grass and weeds/foliage grow wild even if it restricts the view from passing traffic!!?)
  19. Agree 100% with that summary. The only thing to add is that with Sargeant missing Poole managed to get through the whole meeting with only one set of tapes! So 3 points, a good crowd, great meeting with good opposition and a saving on tapes. Whats not to like?! PS> With the stadium looking reasonably smart and tidy at the moment I hope its not too long before the new grass on the old dogtrack is trimmed back......!
  20. Good luck to the Brummies tonight. As long as their guests perform adequately then it could be a decent result for them.
  21. Sorry to hear your experiences but just for balance - how do you know it was a Poole fan that damaged your bike?
