  1. So its now the day before the regular Tuesday home meeting and still no preview on the Plymouth website?! It hardly promotes the fixture when its left til the day before to mention it officially. It should at least be updated over the preceding weekend.....
  2. Whichever Prem club they could sign for, there are only 5 other teams so 'racing in so many meetings' shouldn't be an issue!?
  3. Still got KO Cup meeting(s) to schedule in!!
  4. Yes but the reduction of speedway clubs has been as much to do with stadium closures as it has been the fault of speedway promotions!! You surely can't blame the speedway clubs at Coventry, Lakeside, Somerset and Swindon for example! They would all still be racing if the stadia were available.
  5. ....and yet the sport still continues as long as there are stadia that agree to host it!
  6. So as well as Bomber's bike issues, Danny King got a puncture in heat 15 as well.
  7. Monarchs top 2 scored exactly the same as Pirates top 3 - that where the difference was. Well done Monarchs.
  8. You can get the magazine on subscription. Not sure if all the detail is in the online version www.speedwaystar.net
  9. So BSN are reporting that the KO Cup draw will be done this evening as both teams are still in it!!!!
  10. Piratecast Live with Christina Turnbull available to those who couldn't/didn't tune in last evening... Great interview! That hour felt like 10 mins!! Great in depth answers to questions like about all 4 back and why not all 4 back and riders jumping the start and if they penalise themselves should you let the race carry on or not. Worth watching whatever club you support imo. If anyone wants to watch it back https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XhSPQPJMk2Y
  11. Speedway Star carries scores, reports and news from all the European leagues/competitions every week - along with Grasstrack news. Incidentally, the Sun have a new(ish) weekly column on a Tues/Weds called 'The Inside Track' which covers all motor sports and has included a few bits and bobs about speedway (Dan Bewley; Woffy etc) The Star also have Peter Oakes as a regular contributor.
  12. If there is to be any future for competitive speedway in UK, it will be via a team structure and competition(s) imo.
  13. ...and as it turned out it had little effect on the League table anyway!!
  14. In a shared stadium the greyhound operators have the upper hand as it is usually they that own or at the very least have control as leaseholders over the stadium use. I'm not aware of any speedway-owned stadium that shares with greyhounds as they generally prefer other motor sports eg Stox etc.
  15. Confirmed for Wednesday 31st August 2022. Despite AFC Bournemouth now having a home match the same night (switched from Tuesday 3oth due to BT Sports wanting live coverage).
  16. Ipswich preview reckons Barker has another week for recovery!!!
  17. What European laws? Do you mean the ones that say you ride where you get paid the most?
  18. Exactly why she's invited and agreed to be questioned LIVE on Piratecast. Remember Thursday 7th July from 7pm. Don't miss it - it'll be better time spent - and cheaper - than watching some insignificant Pairs meeting being streamed!!
  19. Christina Turnbull is Lee & Ben's guest on the next edition of PirateCast Live on Thursday 7th July at 7pm. (available LIVE on YouTube) Get your questions ready!!!!!
  20. Where have you seen/heard that? With Steve Worrall going to 1 and presumably Danny to 3(?), I thought they may wish to keep the Danny/Zach pairing together. Incidentally Drew's July average is higher than both Zach's and Ben's - despite Ben actually increasing his average ever so slightly!
  21. No point in having Basso if he misses loads of Wednesday meetings.
