  1. I do hope you enjoy your non-speedway years ahead then. I well remember the last time Poole were in similar league and yes I know it's different now but it's all about the regular racing on our preferred racenight.
  2. There's only about £1-£2 difference in any case - even on a par in some cases!
  3. Its not a 'Newcastle out - Plymouth in' scenario. If Newcastle don't run then there will be an imbalance between the North and South, but thsigns for the Diamonds are looking much more positive. Plymouth's bid was declined due to financial uncertainties.
  4. Nothing announced yet as they await Newcastle's decision!!!
  5. Definitely - as long as there is no price increase!! Lets wait and see who the 3rd heat leader is first!!! Incidentally the Poole R.E.F. (Riders Equipment Fund) hold their first Winter quiz night and forum on Wednesday 20th November with Co-Promoter Danny Ford in attendance to update fans following the AGM. - maybe even a rider announcement or 2?
  6. Isn't there a draft fixture list sent to all clubs in December so that they can check and re-check rider availability, clashes with international and foreign league meetings (not withstanding any TV clashes with Euro 2020 in June!). The BSPA then have a meeting in early January to approve the list with any changes so it should be made available to the public by February 1st. (However with a new chair and board of directors things may be different for 2020?)
  7. The only thing Poole's money does is always ensure that riders are paid correctly and on time! The main reason to go SGBC is to recoup some losses from sponsors going bust mid season and to get back their traditional raceday ie Wednesdays. Not sure that any of that affects the Diamonds situ which I hope is sorted asap.
  8. We didn't find it that easy in 2019 did we?? Danny Ford has already stated the Poole 1-7 will be a mix of old and new faces! Read into that whatever you want.
  9. Bomber's was an unofficial fans collection not authorised by the club.
  10. Danny King. How about Stefan Nielsen? Don't think Adam Ellis can be fitted in at Brum now they've signed Bomber?
  11. So which heat leaders from any of the Championship clubs would you clasify as 'no good'?!
  12. Yeah but a new board of Directors that could well be much more Rathbone-friendly!!!
  13. As I posted on the other thread assuming Newcastle run then it's 16 home league fixtures plus KO Cup against different opposition. More fixtures more variety Wednesday race nights (except when away at Kent Somerset and Brum). What's not to like?
  14. More variety and more fixtures. 16 home league meetings assuming Newcastle are in plus KO Cup. 41 point limit. Bring it on.
  15. I'm sure the period of grace given to Newcastle is so that a change of ownership can be undertaken (Ged Rathbone??) and for that to be acceptable to bspa.
  16. They can't bring All the.news and reaction until the agm is finished!!
  17. I would think that any proposed 'new' team to a league would want to know the full rules and regs before committing!!
  18. Probably not as I think we're looking to surprise all the Championship sides!! (Joking.) Seriously it'll be one of the questions to Danny Ford at next Wednesday's fans quiz night.
  19. £1600 rental? That's quite reasonable compared to some. I know of at least one that is almost double that. NB how much to sponsor a meeting? Just interested.
  20. Yeah the Supporters Cup with fans nominating the later heats really worked well this season. 'Let's all vote for the oppositions weakest riders'!!? Brought hundreds of extra fans in that did- Not!! I've said before why keep promoting speedway as a 'family sport' ? We've been doing that for years and nothing positive has happened anywhere consistently. Let's promote the danger excitement feuds handbags - a bit of 'Boyce v Gollob' at Hackney. The tv audiences will.lap it up.
  21. All these suggested changes to race formats are just as likely see more traditional punters leave and will do nothing to attract new ones whether on Eurosport, netflix or You-tube!!!
