  1. Peter Oakes does the Daily Star stuff so should be spot on.
  2. So he's not doing the Pairs on 20th then? - or will he be banned by then?
  3. Wouldn't be the first time!! I just hope he doesn't put Josh in the fence again!!
  4. Just a shame that the Showground isn't his to do with as he may want?!
  5. The 19th looks the only option with the play-off dates being confirmed this morning starting on 23rd. The 18th I believe clashes with Denmark.
  6. Really? Where do you get that bit of factual info from? Douglas is supposedly guesting for Poole at home on Thursday (weather forecast is good) so he can't guest again on Monday next because of the 8-day rule! BTW well done again Wolves.
  7. So the rearranged meeting will have to be Thursday 19th - the cut-off date - unless its on an off night?!
  8. Much of what I put in my post is factual and I did put 4 emojis at the end, so people can always have their own opinions as well!!! (ps who has he guested for recently?)
  9. Be fair Gavan. Wells did his shoulder before signing for Pirates (thought thats why most thought it a poor signing?) and after riding 5 meetings in 5 successive days - only managing 3+3 and a retirement yesterday - he's in so much pain it needs treatment. Poole would have used Ryan Douglas but Peterboro have scammed him in to replace Garrity tonight - so Poole have to wait til Thursday before using him. Can't use him in the play-offs unfortunately but hopefully Wells will be fully fit by then. Not sure who we will use against Ipswich next Monday? Whoever it is will undoubtedly make us weaker!
  10. Why bother to compare (again and again!!), its not as if the leagues are competing against each other!? Poland is Poland and GB is GB and we all know the various pros and cons respective to each league. Clearly as Torun have demonstrated this season, having several 'top' riders guarantees you nothing - neither wins nor good racing.
  11. Kelvin has improved no end and I do like his knowledgeable commentary. I don't believe NP has improved at the same rate and just comes across now as somewhat repetitive "Yes, very much so"!! As for the GPs I agree there should be another studio 'expert' so its not just the Scotty shirt show! (NB. I did say shirt!) The GP qualifier programme and rider position selection process needs a revamp especially with Kiri asking each rider 'So why did you choose number ??' Pointless.
  12. So no thread on this one so far. Poole back to full strength (?)with what seems like a couple of dodgy reserves. What will be the Stars line-up? Will Cook be riding? Is he safe with himself and other riders? Is Lambert fully fit? Who knows as nothing official yet on either website. All we do know is that BT have switched their live meeting to Panthers v Robins which is not unsurprising as they,ve already shown Stars v Pirates earlier in the season. Thoughts?
  13. Good God is this still going on? Poole lost. Well done to Wolves. Move on.
  14. So Peterborough get a BT Sports live TV meeting on Monday. Their fixture v Robins now replacing the Stars v Pirates!
  15. Deuce. Thats a heck of a conundrum, but no doubt someone will get an advantage?!
  16. League speedway is effectively 15 heats of Pairs racing. I think the race points in each heat should be 4;3;2;0 with a tactical substitution of a pair (2 riders) if a team goes 14 points down.
  17. Brando is the 'floor manager of choice' for a very wide selection of televised sports so maybe wouldn't be able to commit.? Bring back Charlie Webster I say!!
  18. I can see that being agreed in the bar one evening after a long day debating the options!!!!!
  19. Perk up mate. The rearranged fixture Poole v Ipswich on 16th Sept just been added to the BT Sports schedule. Although it might be incorrect with BT getting the date of the Play-off semis confused?! Nigel and Kelvin will be gutted not to be going back to the NSS! (and we probably won't hear the last of it!!).
  20. No worries - there will be plenty more opportunities for comments about Poole on/after the next two BT Sport meetings 9/9 and 16/9!!
